Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore is Asia’s premium lifestyle destination

resort. For seven consecutive years since 2011, RWS has been named

“Best Integrated Resort” at the TTG Travel Awards, which recognizes the

very best of the Asia Pacific’s travel industry. When RWS wanted to create

a multi-function ballroom encircled by projected images, they turned

to Barco’s ProAV partner in Singapore, Aims Productions, for a suitable

hardware solution. Aims Productions delivered the best Barco technology

to create the displays the designers at RWS were dreaming of.

Blending reality and excitement

RWS set out to enhance the multi-function ballroom using unique technology that

can be configured to enrich the varied events that take place there. Barco projectors

were the obvious choice to provide the turnkey solution that RWS desired to upgrade

the 360-degree ballroom. The ballroom now displays projections on 5.5m-high

screens that surround the whole room - an impressive effect that completely

captures the imagination!

Versatility with ease

RWS was adamant that the solution needed to be low maintenance and cost

effective, but still easy to operate and completely reliable. Barco achieved this with

14 UDX-W22 laser-phosphor projectors, 8 HDX-W20 Flex projectors and 2 E2 Event

Master processors to offer full control of the system from a single box. Barco’s UDX

range includes the most compact, versatile and high-quality projectors on the

market, perfect for transforming a huge ballroom - or any events venue - with razor-

sharp 4K images.

The projectors were installed in a setup that surrounds the ballroom with high-

definition images, creating a spectacular show for the people inside. The system

transforms the room, offering countless applications for everything from slideshows

for business conferences to magical surrounds for celebrations.
