Project Scope – What is to be delivered?:

Size: 100ML off-stream storage with potential provision for future expansion

Supply: Minimum of 10ML per 24hrs

Location: Assessment of identified sites to determine best location: (Assessment criteria; construction cost, planning approval, environmental, construction risk, supply, ski area impact, etc)

Project Scope – How is it to be delivered?: Stage 1

a) Construction of 100ML Dam b) Location (As per 1)

EPIC Mountain Bike Trail

• 40km cross country descending trail from Buller-Stirling, through Mansfield State Forest (DEPI) and Mt Russell Education Area (PV)

• Will be the first EPIC mountain bike trail in Australia endorsed by IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association)

• Attracted both State and Federal funding with Resort Management

as lead Agency and Project Manager • After 4 years of planning, construction commenced on December

2013, practical completion in May 2014.

Project Objectives:

• Primary: All weather, all vehicle alternative access for public and emergency management, access and egress.

• Secondary: Better link the two resorts: • Complementary activities & facilities, • Efficiencies, • Touring opportunities

Current Status: • Planning Application and Documentation lodged with Department of

Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure (DTPLI). • Notice of Decision (NOD) Issued by Minister Guy (DTPLI) to grant a Planning

Permit. • Appeal to the NOD has been raised by VNPA. • Working through with the DTPLI as to the defence to the appeal
