What is ResilienceDirect?
ResilienceDirect is a service built for the Resilience Community, by the Resilience Community. Providing a secure platform for sharing information that supports
effective multi-agency working and offers a greater sense of shared situational awareness.
ResilienceDirect Governance Structure

Role is to share good practice and ideas and make recommendations to the
RD National Group on what we determine are the key development priorities.
We have nominated two members to attend the National Group meetings.

• Response template • Share real-time information across the responding organisations• Collate Situation Reports and Actions • Utilise the notification function to email responders

Mapping
ResilienceDirect enables the Resilience Community to access Ordnance Survey basemaps and overlay their local data. In addition they can utilise the drawing tools provided within the application.
How would I use Mapping in Planning?
• Overlay your own data• Provide accurate exports for your plans• Define management zones
How would I use Mapping in Response?
• Create a response map• Use the drawing tools to define cordons, control points and access routes• Overlay local data to inform the TCG/SCG

Use of Resilience Direct During Storm Desmond
• Cumbria set up a Strategic Recovery group structure to deal with
the aftermath.
• RD Maps used to brief up to ministers re impact on Cumbrian
infrastructure (bridges and roads destroyed/flood extents)
• RD used again over Christmas period for Storm Frank - impact now
in Yorkshire as well
• Again RD Maps was used, this time from a COBR perspective to
look at the impact around Tadcaster (bridge)
• Continues to be used in recovery
