When do we Leave?

Leave School on Monday at 9.15am

Arrive back at school at 3.15pm on Wednesday.

We will contact school when we leave Castleton.

9.30: Three rocks walk to Treak Cliff Cavern 1.00: Lunch at Treak Cliff Cavern 1.30: Cavern Tour 2.30: Walk back to Castleton 3.00: Visit Castleton Museum on way back 3.45: Walk back to Lose Hill Hall. 5.00: Dinner Evening: Candle-making and lead mine experience

Where are we staying?

Lose Hill Hall

CastletonNewly refurbished Victorian Gothic Mansion and Cobbled Mews set in formal gardens and 27 acres of parkland in the heart of the Peak District National Park.

Where are we staying?

Indigo Class will be staying in the new conversion, all on one corridor.

Only Youth Hostel staff and Teachers will have keys to the building and corridor.

Where are we sleeping?

Each room sleeps between four and five children.

Members of staff will be at the end of the corridor.

Children will be responsible for keeping these rooms neat and tidy.

There will be an award for tidiest room of the week!

Where are we Eating?

We will be eating in the youth hostel with other schools.

Children will be asked to help out in the dining room just like at school.

Hot meals and lunches are all prepared on site.

If your child has any special dietary requirements please let us know.

When is lights out?

Winding down, drink and snacks by about 8:00.

All in rooms getting ready for bed by 8:30 LIGHTS OUT at 9:00 They will need the sleep!

It is very important that we have these forms back in school as soon as possible.

Please add any extra information that you think is important.

First Aid – All staff at the youth hostel have first aid training and we will also be taking teachers with first aid qualifications.
