University Housing and Residential Life offers financial support to full-time graduate students through these four employment opportunities:

L I V E - O N P O S I T I O N S

1. GRADUATE RESIDENT COORDINATORThe Resident Coordinator (RC) is a 10.5 month live-in graduate position within UH&RL. RCs work directly with professional and student staff members and offer services and assistance to members of Temple University’s residence hall population. They assist with the management of a residential life program in a university housing facility ranging from 150 to 650 students on Temple University’s Main campus. The RC’s primary responsibilities are management of community council, staff programming efforts, and serving as a student conduct officer.

2. GRADUATE RESIDENT ASSISTANT Graduate Resident Assistants (RAs) work to cre-ate a positive environment by fostering a sense of community within the residence halls, by pro-viding help and assistance to students and by working with students and staff to ensure the best possible operation of the residence halls. RAs are expected to serve students and to uphold the standards of Temple University and UH&RL in the highest regard possible. It is essential that all staff members are viewed as credible, positive role models that abide by the university and UH&RL policies and procedures, the RA position description & contract, and the housing contract. RAs are expected to behave in a manner that is professional and attuned to the goals and objectives of UH&RL, both on and off campus.

GRADUATE STUDENT WORKER FOR RECRUITMENT The position assists the Associate Director of Residential Life for Staff Development & Admin-istration by providing direct support to the com-prehensive staff recruitment and selection process, including both professional and stu-dent staff positions. This is a live-off position with administrative and creative responsibilities to meet the recruiting needs of the residential life team. 4. GRADUATE STUDENT WORKER FOR STUDENT DEVELOPMENT The position assists the Associate Director of Residential Life for Student Development & Assessment by providing direct support to the overall residential experience program, not limited to Community Development, Leadership Devel-opment, Inclusivity and Academic Initiatives. This is a live-out position with administrative and creative responsibilities to meet the devel-opmental needs of our residential population.

Q UA L I F I C AT I O N S

•Full-time, matriculated and confirmed Temple University graduate student •Enroll in at least 9 credit hours each semester•Maintain a minimum of 3.0 Cumulative GPA at the graduate level (2.8 for Law School)•Possess experience that demonstrates a clear understanding of student and community development •Demonstrate crisis management skills, including problem-solving and critical thinking•Experience working with diverse populations•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently•Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
