An extremely high firing temperature and the quality of the base

for roof terrace paving in commercial buildings.

CERPIANO+ is available in the following standard formats:

• 1,492 × 325 × 40 mm (0.48 m2) | 742 × 325 × 40 mm (0.25 m2)

• For floor areas with individual dimensions differing from standard sizes are

ideally cut to any required format with the wet saw at the construction site.


WITH EDGING

TECHNICAL NOTE

CERPIANO+ is a product not regulated by the building authority.

For this reason, the dimensions of the pavement surface takes

place constructively, based on the manufacturer’s specifications or

by calculation. Terraces are usually not load-bearing constructions

with a maximum building height of 50 cm. The installation of

CERPIANO+ as a load-bearing component is not permitted.

FLOOR CONDITIONS

The construction of the floor system is easily possible for almost

all, even tricky foundations, such as gravel, stone, sand, grit and

other foundations. A substructure made of wood, however, is not

recommended as a base, because CERPIANO+ outlasts the lifetime

of organic materials many times over.

SECOND STEP

• Now the aluminium substructure is mounted on the flat floor

surface. The aluminium profiles are propped up with terrace

pads or bases.

• The aluminium profiles must be designed with a

recommended centre distance of 37.5 cm.

• To prepare the floor surface, small unevennesses can be

compensated by underlaying another terrace pad.

• The aluminium profiles installed as mentioned above are

pasted up on the top with a self-adhesive rubber band.

This rubber overlay is used for the insulation of impact sound

and compensates for small tolerances of the brick plates.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

First, a floor surface fit for installation must be prepared. The surface should be flat and an enclosed

surface must have a slope of 2 %, so that accumulating rainwater is able to drain.


THIRD STEP • Subsequently, the brick plates are placed. Depending on the

installation type, whether in the half bond or cross joint,

corresponding tile spacers are used to specify the correct

distance from each other.

• The brick plates can be easily cut with a wet saw or a standard

Flex (angle grinder) and can be easily adapted for slopes or

connection details.

For this reason, the floor system is also particularly suitable for paving in large commercial

areas, such as outdoor and entrance areas of business centres. High resistance, exceptional

hardness and extreme compactness make it suitable for use in areas that are highly stressed

and representative at the same time.

Consists of a whole and a half ceramic plate. The plates are laid alternately offset so that in one row the joint is broken and in the next row the joint is continued.
