Completed in 2012, South is
Queens newest residential
community. Sitting on top of a
five level parking deck, residents
of South can see the Charlotte
skyline over the tree lined Myers
Park neighborhood.
South Hall is a coed building featuring two types of suites. Double suites have two rooms with two
students in each, while Single suites have four rooms with one student in each. Both styles feature a
common space perfect for watching television, eating dinner, or just hanging out. The hall houses
approximately 180 upperclassmen residents. An Assistant Director oversees residential operations and
supervises six Resident Assistants.

Resident Assistants
Crockett Sewell, South 603A
Hey everyone! My name is Crockett Sewell, and I am
one of the new RAs for Byrm this spring semester. I am
a junior at Queens, and I am originally from Sparta, TN.
I am majoring in International Studies, and I just
finished my semester abroad in Brussels, Belgium. On
campus I'm involved with the Royal Ambassadors, the
Student Alumni Council, and I'm working with the Office
for International Education this semester! I'm obsessed
with Charlotte and anything to do with Uptown, so if
you ever want to go explore, I'd be more than happy to
join or show you some new places! If you need to
contact me, I'm always available by phone (931-808-
7841) or email ([email protected]). I look forward to
a great semester with everyone!
Hey! My name is Will Roberson and I am a RA for the sixth floor
of Byrum Hall. I am a Junior here at Queens and I am majoring in
Sport Management. I am originally from Charlotte and I came to
Queens to play tennis as well as to enjoy the small school envi-
ronment in the great city of Charlotte. Some fun facts about me
are that I enjoy hanging out with my friends and I love to play all
types of sports. I love the outdoors and like to hike, camp, and
go whitewater rafting and kayaking. You can reach me by phone
(704-280-1448), email ([email protected]), or just by
swinging by Byrum 612!
I go by Alex, I’m a junior studying elementary education, and I’ve lived in
Charlotte my whole life! I chose Queens for the size and the community,
and the people here continue to be my favorite thing about this school.
I’m a teaching fellow as well as a part of CJB, and this is my first year as
an RA. I spent my entire summer at a youth camp on Crowder’s
Mountain, where I’ve mainly smelled (and looked?) like a middle school
boy. I like coffee, pretending to know how to workout, and my dog Sadie.
My interesting fact on the first day of classes will be that I went to midget
wrestling this summer. I like instagram and twitter a lot, so that’s where
to find me @ alexrandya.
Alex Ritchie, South 624A
Carter Triana, South 712A
Will Roberson, South 612 A
Byrum Hall
My name is Carter Triana, but I go by CJ (my middle name is Joseph) so
you'll most likely hear that. I'm from San Diego, CA. I'm a Biology major
at Queens on a Pre-Med track. I also am working on a Spanish minor
and possibly a Studio Art minor. I decided to come to Queens because
of the small size, the JBIP program, and for a change in pace after living
in California my whole life. I'm involved in the Student Government
Association, Art Club, Royal Ambassadors, the Sustainability Task Force,
and the Theater program on campus. I'm mildly obsessed with fish
tanks, I do not surf, and I love camping and most things outdoors. If you
need anything, you can email me at [email protected] or my phone
number is 760-613-7195. You can also find me on most social media.
Julia Debski, South 724A
Hi! My name is Julia Debski, and I’m from Chattanooga,
Tennessee—though originally grew up in Poland and France. I
am a sophomore, majoring in Creative Writing and double
minoring in French and Arts Leadership & Management. I
chose Queens because of their wonderful study abroad
program, the amazing professors, and the enchanting city of
Charlotte. In addition to being an RA, I am part of the
Democrats club on campus, and I house & pet-sit in the south
Charlotte area. I am a published author, am a huge animal
lover (with 4 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 horses, how could I not be??),
and love finding new coffee shops. Also, I change my hair color
and cut often! Feel free to email me at [email protected],
or add me on Facebook!
Mona Atta, South 703A
My name is Mona Atta, and while I grew up in the North, my home is
now in Summerfield, NC. I am a senior at Queens studying Biology
and Spanish, and I made this university my home because of the
great opportunities like the study abroad program and the close-knit
campus community. I have loved getting nice and involved as SGA
Treasurer and Royal Ambassadors President, and with the
Phonathon, Honor Council, and International Club. I love cats- and
dogs, animals in general, and I love taking walks and being outside,
and I laugh really frequently.
And you can contact me at [email protected], and/or via
snapchat: moncalzone.
