Would NME magazine be suitable to feature Monaco

Bears?• As NME is a unique music magazine think

this would suit Monaco Bears genre of indie/rock as the band is new and similar to some bands that have been in NME including Arctic Monkeys. Although Monaco Bears has a unique side to them.

• The magazine targets 17-30 year olds which is suitable for our band as we have decided to have a target audience between 15-24.

• NME also has a high readership as is very well known as it’s also a weekly magazine.

Would Q magazine be suitable to feature Monaco Bears?

• Q magazine would be good for Monaco Bears to be able to feature in as it’s a very well known music magazine which is sold monthly.

• The magazine has a variety of music genres and is mostly made up of a male dominant audience. I feel this wouldn’t benefit Monaco Bears as it includes variety of genre’s people may not focus on Monaco Bears genre as much as we would like them too. Also for Monaco Bears we aim to have a target audience of both male and female between the ages of 15-25.

Would MOJO magazine be suitable to feature Monaco

Bears?• MOJO magazine is one of the biggest selling music

magazines in the UK. Their first issue included Bob Dylan and The Beatles which shows it includes very big artists/bands within its magazine. This would be good for Monaco Bears as the magazine is very popular as it includes big names which could help them to be more recognisable.

• The magazine is produced monthly and has an audience of mostly male. Monaco Bears aim to reach a both gender audience allowing them to be more versatile. Their songs and videos appeal to both men and women and this helps to gain more target audiences.

Would KERRANG magazine be suitable to feature Monaco

Bears?• Kerrang is a well known Rock music magazine,

although Monaco Bears are an indie/rock group I would say they are more on the Indie side of music. I don’t think their image would suit the magazine as it’s really big rock groups which are normally on the front, I think they would look out of place which we don’t want them to be.

• The age the magazine is aimed at is similar as its 15-35 but its mostly aimed at males, once again we aim for a mixed audience.

• The magazine which I hope would support my promotion for Monaco Bears is NME. I feel this is the magazine which suits them the best as they seem to promote similar artists who also have unique side to them.

• My media products are aimed at 15 – 24 year olds both male and female, allowing a more variety of audiences. I have already designed an audience profile which shows they are mostly likely to enjoy indie music, attend school/ work and fashion.

• NME represents an indie genre, which is the genre Monaco Bears is mostly focused around.

• NME is also very well known and is seen as a more younger magazine which keeps up to date with bands. Its also weekly, so the information will be regular and new.
