Can You Survive?Survival Research Project

Research Project

In the next 72 hours, all major U.S. cities will be attacked with nuclear weaponry.

Either alone or with one or two partners (if you choose to work with a partner or two, make sure you choose your partners carefully – there will be a group evaluation completed to allow your group members to grade you on how well you contributed to the project), you must prepare the best you can for this catastrophe & make a plan on how you will handle the ramifications of this tragedy once it occurs.

Research Project

On April 29 or 30th, your team will present a PowerPoint which will include the following:

The research you have done The decisions you have made about what you will & what you won’t do

during this tragic event

What each of your PowerPoint slides should include is listed on your assignment sheet. Some slides pertain to BEFORE the blast and some AFTER the blast.

You will need to determine how to save your presentation – flash drive, cloud drive, CD, etc.

Now, let’s review your assignment sheet, which provides you with detailed instructions on what is expected from your presentation as well as the rubric that will be used to grade your presentation.

Research Project

Since the purpose of this project is to gain experience in researching academic sources, it’s important that you understand how to correctly search and cite appropriate sources.

Make sure you pay close attention to the sources and how to cite the information correctly.

Academic Sources

You MAY NOT use Wikipedia as a source for your project. When you are researching fallout/radiation and government types, be careful with what websites you are referencing. Many .com websites are not academic sources.

Look for .gov, .org, and .edu for academic sources.
