Mainstream/ niche- I will be showing my music magazine to a niche audience so that It will be able to gain a more specific audience.

Age- The targeted age for my magazine would be 15-24 this is because Kerrang has this figure and so I would expect this because my magazine will be targeting the same sub cultures.

Gender- The gender of my magazine is for both males and females.

Sub genre- The music sub genre of my magazine would be based around a pop punk music style. This includes music such as green day, blink182 and jimmy eat world.

Title- The title of my magazine is called: PRF, this is short for pop rock fusion, the colours I have used for this is multi-coloured because it is fun, vibrant and can link into my sub genre.

Target Audience:

Audience profile

Beth is a 18 year old girl who is very out going and cheerful. On weekdays, she usually spends her time out on parks and

skate parks with her large groups of friends. She loves shopping with places like blue banana and new look for skinny

jeans and big colourful jewellery. She has a job working in shake away and she loves it there

because she's got quite an appetite for sweets and chocolate that she sometimes helps herself to, she is cheeky and usually

enjoys having a laugh with everyone. She is constantly listening to her earphones with blasting

music coming out, she enjoys a good song to jump around and dance crazy to often. If Beth isn't talking to her friends when

she's out, she's usually inside her bright purple bedroom talking to people on Facebook. She is a bit crazy when it

comes to her hair styles, she's had so many colours in it from black to bright pink. Beth can be a bit clumsy sometimes and

can usually get her in a bit of trouble, she's always got something going on with friends, boys and work and so she can enjoy blink182 (her favourite band) to cheer her up at

the end of each day.

Beth:

My music mag title ideasThe font for my title is fun and bold, I have used this to appeal to my target audience.

I have chosen this name because it clearly states my chosen sub culture and it brings the two words ‘pop’ and ‘rock’ together with fusion! The colours I have used for my

title is multi-coloured, I have done this because it is fun, vibrant and can link into my sub genre.

Research of other mags and ideas for my main cover

image!!

I have been analysing other magazines that belong to the same sub genres as my music magazine so that I can see what kinds of features I need to include and what I like about each one so that I am able to include them in my own magazine to make mine more successful.

From the Big Cheese magazine, I like the main cover picture as it is very vibrant and exciting. It is clear who is the main person as she is stood right in the middle with bright hair. I will be using this technique in my magazine.

From the Kerrang magazine, I will be using their three main colours technique as it works well as it can create a certain feeling towards the sub genres of the magazine, however I will be using more vibrant colours than this as pop punk creates colourful connotations.

Ideas for main splash article:Here are some examples of some double page spreads that I have been inspired by, I will use some of their most successful techniques in my magazine so that I am able to appeal to my target audience.

In the teenagers extract found from the NME mag, I like the image use. It is a long shot as you can see their whole bodies, this can create the ‘ideal self’ that was found by a theorist called I will be making my images like this as It creates a calm and teenage sort of feeling. This can be good for my magazine as it will appeal to my target audience.

Ideas for other possible contents:Price of my magazine: The price of my magazine would be around £2.00 on average.

The color scheme:My magazine is going to be full of rainbow colors. This can show that it is fun, vibrant and can be acceptable for both outgoing male and female audiences

of the pop punk sub-genre.
