RESEARCH INTO ‘ THE X FACTOR’

WHAT IS THE X FACTOR?The X Factor is a British television music competition that aims to find a new singing talent being artist or a band. The show was created by Simon Cowell and began in September 2004. It is now presently on it’s ninth series. The artists go through five different stages; Producers' auditions, judges' auditions, boot camp, judges' houses, live shows (finals)

THE CURRENT JUDGES

Gary Barlow is a singer and songwriter who used to be part of the boy band Take That. He is now the head judge of The x Factor.

Nicole Scherzinger is an American recording artist that was the lead single in her former band ‘’ the pussycat dolls’. She is a replacement for Ex Judge Kelly Rowland.

Tulisa Contostavalos is a British singer-songwriter that was part of the band NDubz. She is now a judge on the X Factor.

Louis Walsh is an Irish entertainment manager. He Loved to Dublin to get a move on the music industry and is a judge on the XFactor.

Since the XFactor has been televised it’s winners have gone on to be very successful in their musical careers. Artists such as Alexander Burke, Leona Lewis and The girl band Little Mix gained an opportunity through this entertainment programme. I feel that our artist could also audition for the XFactor as a way to branch out of an independent label in order to try and get part of a major company. Also to gain public recognition for her music.
