• Meja jungkit dimiringkan ke arah kiri dan kanan secara bergantian dengan interval waktu 3º sampai pada posisi 45º.

• Pada setriap 3º berhenti selama 3 menit dan dilakukan pembacaan pada komputer yang dihubungkan dengan dialgauge ke setiap titik buhul.

• Pengamatan secara visual dilakukan pada setiap sambungan seperti, perubahan yang terjadi, kekuatan ikatan ijuk dan pasak serta kondisi bambu yang dipakai.

Batasan• Part 1 merupakan metode pengujian untuk

mengevaluasi karakteristik pada sifat fisis dan mekanisbambu seperti: kadar air, kerapatan, penyusutan,tekan, lentur, geser dan tarik.

• Part 2 merupakan laporan teknis (technical report) ygmenyediakan petunjuk informasi bagi staflaboratorium tentang bagaimana mengerjakanpengujian sesuai part 1.

• Standard ini mencakup pengujian pada spesimenbambu untuk mendapatkan data, sehingga dapatdigunakan utk menentukan karakteristik kekuatanbahan sampai mendapatkan tegangan ijin.

• Data tersebut dapat digunakan untuk mencarihubungan antara sifat mekanis dan faktor lain sepertikadar air, kerapatan, tempat tumbuh, posisi sepanjangbuluh, keberadaan buku (node) dan ruas (internode),dll yang berfungsi sebagai pengendali kualitas.
