Throughout research and planning, we used Blogger to document our findings and plans. This made it easy for us to trace and refer to our creative journey

In research, after settling on our song choice, “Season of the Witch” by Donovan, we used YouTube to explore music videos from artist of similar genre, as well as other music videos that harmonised with or could otherwise influence our concepts and ideas

In planning, we used a chat group on Facebook to share ideas out of school; this made it easy to discuss thoughts quickly and conveniently when at home In this instance we considered

costume and prop ideas

We also used Facebook in research; similar to our use of YouTube, we investigated the features and conventions from artists similar to ours, and others that influence ours in other ways e.g. the Psychedelic iconography of Pink Floyd, the minimalism of Jack White

Similar in genre artists The Doors and Pink Floyd, otherwise influential artist Jack White

‘SurveyMonkey’ came in handy to gather and analyse feedback from our peers and our target audience. In research, we created a survey to identify the demographic of our audience, i.e. Rock/Folk listeners, and what they look for in music videos. In planning, we used surveys to receive feedback on our designs for digipak and website, which was beneficial for us to modify the ancillary texts in response

As means for presenting expressively to our peers and in our blogging, we used slideshare and Prezi to create graphic presentations; this made the research we conducted and planning we staged easier to refer to, as opposed to tedious blocks of text on our blogs
