Renew Maintenance CertificatesCreate the Request

5. Choose „Renew MaintenanceCertificate(s)

Maintenance Certificates will berequested for all availableHardware Keys

6. Choose „OK“ to confirm renewalof Maintenance Certificates

7. Confirmation message isdisplayed:Your request has beensuccessfully submitted.

You will receive an email with yourMaintenance Certificateinformation and the certificates willbe displayed in the application.

Display and Download the License Key &Maintenance Certificate via System Data

1. Open System Data again andchoose tab „License Key &Maintenance Certificate“

The generated MaintenanceCertificatesare displayed in the list

2. Select rows, whith requiredHardware Keys (Multiple Selectionis enabled) and choose„Display License Script“

The License Script will bedisplayed in a new window. Itcontains license data for allselected Hardware Keys.

3. Choose „Download to PC“ todownload the license file withLicense Keys and MaintenanceCertificates to the PC

(see section „Install –Maintenance Certificate“ forinstallation instructions)

Choose in the Service Corner:Request permanent license key

4. Choose „Renew MaintenanceCertificate(s)“ to start theRequest

Maintenance Certificates will berequested for all registered HardwareKeys.

The table lists for hardware keys a rowwith „Maintenance Certificate“. Not yetavailable Maintenance Certificates areindicated by „Not available“

5. Choose „OK“ to confirm renewalof Maintenance Certificates

6. Message is displayed, choose„Continue“ to submit therequest

The Status in the table changed from„Not available“ to „Changed entry“

7. Enter the email address.

Choose „Submit“ to request theMaintenance Certificate

The Maintenance Certificate willgenerated by SAP Support GlobalBackbone and will be sent via email toyou.

It can be also downloaded via licensekey application.

1. Run transaction SLICENSE

2. Choose „New Licenses“

3. Section „Installed Licenses“shows a table MaintenanceCertificates (issued for eachHardware Key) and ProductLicenses.

Request Maintenance Certificate BeforeUpgrade

1. Maintenance Certificate can only requested forsystems as of SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

Button „Renew Maintenance Certificate(s)“ isdisabled and can not be selected.

2. Before the upgrade:Change System Information in License Keyapplication and select the target ProductVersion

Afterwards Button „Renew MaintenanceCertificate(s)“ is enabled and can be selected

Proceed as described in section 3
