RESULTS 2003-2021 (June)
• Survey of the area suspected to contain mines, cluster munitions, other UXO, air bombs – rockets;
• Over 143 clearance projects developed, funds for their implementation secured, their implementation followed, quality control of the works conducted, clearance certificates issued;
• Area of around 26.554.556 sqm (2,655 hectres) cleared of mines, cluster munitions and other ERW);
• Found and destroyed 23.848 pcs. of mines, cluster munitions and other ERW;
• Donations provided by the US, Czech Republic, Germany, EU, Norway, Spain, Canada and Republic of Ireland, Japan and Korea through ITF Enhancing Human Security, or indirectly by Russian Federation, as well as by the Delegation of the EU in Belgrade.
• In the period 2015-2021, Government of the Republic of Serbia allocated 1.375.000 EUR for demining operations

• On 7th May 1999 the Embassy was targeted with 5 bombs GBU-31 Joint Direct Attack Munition, weighing2.000 lbs (about 930 kg), one did not explode

During the implementation of demining project
Končulj – Singerit 1, a deminer reported to SMAC
and the police that a sizable quantity of weapons
and mines had been found
An unknown person or persons had hidden various
types of weapons under a boulder, in a place called
Singerit, in the area of the village of Končulj, which
is located on the administrative line with Kosovo and
Metohija
- 8 containers with rockets for the M79 Osa hand-
held anti-tank launcher
-137 pieces of ammunition for the Zolja RPG
-1 anti-tank mine
-1 optical sights
-1,436 pieces of ammunition of various calibers
-a disintegrating camouflage uniform

BENEFITS OF DEMINING/CLEARANCE
Clearance of cluster bombs, demining of
mines and disposal of air bombs and other
unexploded ordnance, will contribute to
bigger safety and employment of people,
protection of environment, increase of
agricultural production, exploitation of
forests, building of infrastructure,
reconstruction and building of tourist and
industrial facilities.

ERW CLEARANCE PROJECTS
• Infrastructural projects of public interest that include
clearing of land and construction, relocation or
reconstruction of infrastructure facilities, construction of
business - residential and other facilities, which includes
construction works with excavation.
• Project for demining and technical reconnaissance
(reducing the risk of unexploded ordnance) in the areas of
construction of the main gas pipeline route from the
border with Bulgaria (in the vicinity of Zaječar) to the
border with Hungary (in the vicinity of Horgoš) –
provision of conditions for safe engineering-geological
and geotechnical exploration of land and construction
works on the main gas pipeline route from the border with
Bulgaria (near Zaječar) to the border with Hungary (near
Horgoš) Turkish Stream.
• Explosive War Removal (EOR) Project from the Data
Center Construction Site – provison of safe construction
of the secondary Government Data Centre/Disaster
Recovery Location in Кragujevac
• Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) Clearance Project of
the Thoroughfare within the "Denino brdo" Complex, in
Kragujevac - provision of safe construction of
apartments for members of security forces

EOD- Level 1 TRAINING COURSESMAC – BELGRADE
21.09-10.10.2020.
• Cooperation between SMAC and the French Embassy in
Belgrade
• Explosive Ordnance Disposal - Level 1 Training (EOD -
Level 1) held in the period 21 September 2020 - 10 October
2020
• EOD Level 1 training based on the Plan and Program of
French land and underwater demining company "EOD-
EX", and in accordance with IMAS
• Lecturers recognized French instructors with many years
of experience in both humanitarian demining and the
conduct of international EOD training courses of all levels
• The training held in expanded business capacities within
SMAC, i.e. teaching premises with a ground and site for
training of pyrotechnicians in Grocka
• Trainees - member of the Sector for Emergency
Management of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia, as well as
representatives of domestic demining companies, as well
as demining companies from the region
