PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE - www.mhss.gov.na Turn Around Strategy In order for the Ministry of Health and Social Services to elevate the standard of service delivery in public health sector and more prominently at state health facilities we have decided to unpack the root cause for various challenges we face. In February 2016, the Ministry held a Ministerial Forum attended by regional and national management and middle management cadres to deliberate on the current factors hampering quality public health care services in the country. Issues identified were; communication, processes, culture, behaviour, accountability & responsibility, training, preparedness and motivation. The Ministry has since adopted these factors to be deliberated and solutions found with an aim to produce a functioning public health care system. The management of the Ministry has taken this important task upon themselves to embark not on an urgent quick fix but on a journey of transforming the Ministry.
