GWENT Police – NW UK OCG Members Jailed
Five men have been jailed for stealing a trailer loaded with £20,000 of biscuits from a Burton’s Biscuits factory in south Wales
Cardiff Crown Court was told the men, from Cheshire and Liverpool, targeted the Burton’s factory at Cwmbran, Gwent on June 17 last year. The abandoned the trailer – worth about £10,000 – was later recovered but not the biscuits, which were valued at about £20,000
Kieron Price, Stephen Burrows, Aaron Thomas, Anthony Edgerton and Paul Price admitted charges relating to the biscuit theft and received jail terms ranging from 44 to 16 months

NaVCIS / VOSA Intelligence Operation
At 11.35hrs on the 12th April 2016, our Dover Ports Police NaVCIS SPOC and VOSA, stopped an incoming Scania tractor unit towing a Krone TIP semi-Trailer (pictured opposite) at the Eastern Docks, Dover
The trailer was fully loaded and was found to have been stolen in January 2016 from Belgium
The trailer has been returned to its rightful owners and the tractor unit/load has been seized for further enquiries by Customs Officers

Merseyside Police – Refrigerated Semi-Trailer Theft
On the 31st March 2016, at 00.55hrs offenders stole a refrigerated semi-trailer loaded with meat products from an industrial park in Knowsley, Merseyside
The offenders used a Daf CF Tractor Unit, White, bearing cloned number plates, VRM: **12*** (see CCTV picture opposite)

Suffolk Police – A14 Load Theft – Lotus Alloy Wheels
Overnight from 21.00hrs on the 4th April 2016 to 05.15hrs on the 5th April 2016 Offenders attacked a curtainside HGV Semi –trailer and stole a selection of Lotus alloy car wheels
The HGV was parked on the A14 westbound near to Saxham Business Park, just off the A14 at Saxham

Suffolk Police – Another A14 Load Theft
Overnight from 21.00hrs on the 22nd March 2016 to 10.00hrs on the 23rd March 2016 Offenders attacked a curtainside HGV Semi –trailer and stole a part load of Paint
The HGV was parked on the A14 eastbound, close to Cleeton St Mary, Stowmarket. If you can, avoid insecure parking on the A14 in this area

Police Scotland – M74, J13, Lanarkshire
Late evening on 12th April 2016 a parked HGV had its curtains slashed and offenders inspected the goods but nothing stolen
The driver had just parked at Abington Services on the M74 and left the cab to use the toilets. When he returned 20 minutes later he saw the damage

Thames Valley Police – Lorry Load Theft
Overnight on the 6th – 7th April 2016 offenders have attacked a parked HGV on an industrial estate, Middleton Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire
They cut the curtains on semi-trailer, stealing a part load of seven pallets of medical products

Industry partners have informed us about the theft of Trailer ID and Ministry Trailer Plates from a depot in Norfolk very recently

German Police – Theft of Two Loaded HGV’s
Overnight on the 10th – 11th April 2016, offenders forced entry into a Logistics Yard south of Heidelberg and stole two articulated HGV’s, by means of ‘hot wiring’
Both the semi-trailers were loaded with cosmetic and hygiene products and have yet to be recovered

German Police – AGAIN - Theft of Two Loaded HGV’s
Overnight on 7th – 8th April 2016, east of Frankfurt am Main, offenders burgled a logistics site and stole keys to two loaded HGV’s
Both lorries were tracked by GPS systems east along the A3 motorway and eventually recovered minus their loads

Industry contacts have informed us about numerous recent load thefts on the A24 motorway between Hamburg and Berlin
Drivers using the rest area “ Shremheide” have suffered load thefts. Photocopiers were the latest load to be stolen
