REPORTABOUTTHEIMPLEMENTATION
Whatwastheaim?
Our main goal was to inform high school athletes about the problem of doping inprofessionalsport.
Whatcontentwasconveyed?
WepresentedthecaseofAndreas‐HeidiKriegeranddopinginEastGermanybetween1970and1990,followedbygeneral informationondoping(thepresentationofWADA,SLOADO,“What is doping?”, TUE, athletes...).We showed the athletes video about doping controlprocessandtheycouldtakealookattheequipmentnecessaryforsamplecollection.
Inthesecondpart,weusedtheconceptofworkshops,withwhichwewantedtomakeyoungathletesopenlydiscussabouttheuseofdrugsinsport.Wedividedpeopleinto3groupsanddistributed paper sheets with different tasks all of them concerning on the topic ofdoping.Insideeachgroupwedividedathletesintotwogroups,onegroupwasfordopingandanotrheronewasagainstdoping.Eachgrouphad15minutestotalkaboutthetaskandtogiveclearanswersandexplanations.Afterthediscussionmembersofeachgrouppresentedtheirconclusionstoeverybody.Ambassadorsweretheretoguide,supportandmaybehelptopoint them in the right direction to get the general view on the given issue.After eachpresentationwehadtimetoanswerthequestionsthatmighthavepoppedup.
Attheendofworkshopsathleteshadachancetosignapublicpromise,thattheywillactinaccordanse to the World Anti‐Doping Code and that they will not use any prohibitedsubstancesormethodsintheirsportcareer.

In our opinion and the opinion of teachers the lecture was very interesting. It has beennoticedthatmostofathletesdonothavealotofknowledgeabouttheproblemofdoping,butwecould see thatmostof themhave shown interestandcooperation to findoutnewthings.Inparticular,theinterestandsurpriseofallpresentwasshown.
Whatweretheresults?
Webelievethatallparticipantswillthinkaboutdangersofdopinginthefutureandconsidertheconsequencesinadifferentwaythantheydidbeforeourlecture.
Didyoureachthedesiredoutcome?How?Why?
Wethinkthattheresponsesoftheparticipantsweregood,becausetheyhavelearnedalotnewthings.Wecansaythatourgoalwasmorethansuccessfullyachieved.

Whatwouldyoudodifferentlynexttime?
We will try with some new workshops, just to see the reaction from the athletes. Someathletesdidn’tshowmuchinterestinourlectureandworkshops,sowewilltrytocreateevenmoreinterestinglectureandworkshops.
