Report on metro trip

As part of the internship, a batch of 106 students out of 120 students of Mechanical Engineering

of I. BTech II sem went to a field trip to visit metro station @ miyapur on 30 march 2019 to enrich

the students knowledge.

As part of the internship trip, students started from GRIET at 10 Am through college buses and

reached miyapur metro station situated at a distance of 2 Km by 10.20 am. All of us have observed

the construction of pillars with reinforcement technique which is the wonder of civil engineering.

Shared the knowledge of making the pillars somewhere else and joining here as per requirement.

Few students took the lift and few others went through escalators to reach the above flour where

the tickets issuing will be done. They studied the functioning of ticket vending machine, entry to

the station, working of the elevators; train on the track, changing the levels as it the starting station,

function of the engine and so on.

They also observed the sensing machines to check the luggage, frequency of the travelers and

trains scheduled. spent 2 hrs in the station. Have interacted with the station manager and observed

the function of metro rail.

It was the great opportunity for the students to know the real time experience and thanks to the

metro authorities to permit the students and giving the opportunity for the students to visit the site.
