INTRODUCTION
This work program on the North Cobalt Property (Figures 1,2), has been prepared on behalf of Cabo Mining Enterprises Corp. of Vancouver, B.C. The content of the report is based on work planned and supervised by the author. The sampling was completed by Allan Kon (Cabo) in April, 2005 and the samples were analyzed by SGS Canada Inc. in Toronto, Ontario.
PROPERTY LOCATION AND ACCESS
The North Cobalt Property of Cabo Mining Corp. consists of the mining rights to 10 claim units that make up two mining claims totaling approximately 120 hectares. The claims are located on the east side of the village of North Cobalt and south of the town of Haileybury in Bucke Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, Ontario. The claims occupy the northern part of Lots 13 & 14, Concession 11. They are shown on Figure 2, a portion of claim Index Map G3413, Bucke Township where they are numbered:
L 1118210 L 1118211
Nearly one half of the eastern claim (L 1118210) lies under the waters of Lake Temiskaming. A graveled road traverses the south boundary of claim L 1118210. The northwestern and northeastern sections of the property are accessible by gravel roads. Farm roads and trails provide easy access to the center of the group. A cemetery exists on the northern part of claim L 1118211.
TOPOGRAPHY AND VEGETATION
Maximum relief on the property is approximately 25 metres. Topography is generally rolling with local steep ledges and cliffs. The steepest terrain is along the shore of Lake Temiskaming in the eastern part of the property. Mill Creek passes through both claims providing the major drainage and exiting into Lake Timiskaming. An un-named creek drains the north part of claim L 1118211. Numerous small tributaries cut through the clay cover along these two creeks.
At least 60% of the claim group is covered by extensive overburden (dominantly clay). The majority of this is currently used as farmland. Vegetation on the remaining 40% of the property consists mainly of poplar and locally dense underbrush. Abundant thorn bushes make traversing
- hazardous. The steeper shoreline area contains limited balsam and spruce cover.

EXPLORATION HISTORY
Although there are numerous old pits and other workings on the property, there is no references to these in the assessment files. R. Thompson (1960) reports that E. L. Mac Veigh completed seven driB holes (49 metres tota]) in the area in 1954 but the logs of these are not in the assessment files. According to local people, the holes were drilled along the shore of Lake Temiskaming.
FaJconbridge acquired the property in 1991 and completed 1 :5000 scale geological mapping and rock sampling (Money, 1993). Geophysical surveys were recommended. Branchwater Resources acquired the property under option from two local prospectors (S. Wareing and M. Simpson) in 1998. In 1999 the Branchwater commitments were assumed by Cabo Mining Corp. and a reconnaissance work program involving rock, soil and stream sampling was completed (Nicholson, 1999). The success of this work was limited due to extensive clay coverage. In 2000, the eastern part of the property was mapped and recce ground geophysical surveys (Mag and VLF-EM) completed over its southeastern part. In 2002, the grid was extended to cover the remaining part of the claims and a ground magnetometer survey carried out. In 2003, geological mapping was completed over the remaining part of the claims. In 2004, a VLF-EM survey and a radioactivity survey was conducted over parts of the claim group.
REGIONAL AND PROPERTY GEOLOGY
The area has been mapped by R. Thompson (1963) on behalf of the Ontario Department of Mines. From his map (Map 2050), the claim group is located entirely within an area of Archean Metavolcanics with local gabbroic and felsic intrusive rocks. On a regional scale these Archean rocks occur as inliers within extensive areas underlain by Huronian Sediments and Nipissing Diabase. Several pits and trenches are shown on Map 2050. Most of these are in the eastern part of the property along the shore of Lake Temiskaming. A regional scale northwest trending fault (the Lake Temiskaming Fault) is projected immediately offshore. This structure passes through the northeast part of claim L 1118110.
2005 WORK PROGRAM AND RESULTS
Work Summary
MMI Soil Sampling - One hundred (100) soils collected and analysed by Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) methods. The soil sampling was carried out between April 1st and 6th, 2005. Work was based from a Cabo core storage facility located in North Cobalt, Ontario. The samples were collected by shoveling a 30 cm hole in the overburden and collecting material with a plastic ladle from between 10 cm and 20 cm below the interface between leaf and twig litter on surface, and completely decomposed material. This sampling interval can be from both the A and B horizon soil and was collected regardless of soil type. The samples were placed in zip logged sandwich bags and labeled. They were stored in the Cabo core storage building until delivered by hand to the SGS Canada Inc. Prep Laboratory in Sudbury from which they were transferred by SGS to their analytical laboratory in Toronto.
5
The MMI Process™ was developed by Wamtech Pty. Ltd in Australia and is performed by exclusive license at SGS Minerals' full service accredited laboratory facilities in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. According to the SGS literature, the Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) Process™ " .. uses a weak partial extraction and ICP-MS ultra trace element analysis to improve the conventional geochemical response over buried ore deposits." In theory, the weak extraction compounds extract only the elements that are weakly bonded to the soil particles and thus are considered to be related directly to underlying mineralized zones.
The samples were collected along a roughly north south line in woodlands along the western shore of Lake Timiskaming. The sample locations are shown on Figure 3
Two different extraction methods were used and two separate groups of elements were analysed for. These include:
Group 1 - Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb Group 2 - Au, Co, Ni, Pd, Ag
Proportional Dot Diagrams for Ag, Cu, Ni and Pb are included as Figures 4 to 7. All of the results are included in Appendix I.
The commodity of interest on the north Cobalt property is silver, so the results for silver are the only data considered in this report. The best silver results were from sample number 39, located near the lakeshore immediately north of mill creek. This sampled contained 156 ppb, far above the background for silver in this test survey (10 ppb). The sample site is situated in relatively undisturbed soil. It is accompanied by elevated Ni (1096 ppb; background of 150 ppb) and Co (253 ppb; background of 5 ppb), elements that are commonly associated with silver in this geological environment.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The 2005 test line across the eastern land portion of the North Cobalt property has produced ambiguous results overall, with scattered weakly anomalous values in most elements analysed for. A single station silver value of 156 ppb (sample # 39), accompanied by elevated nickel and cobalt should be further investigated by prospecting and possible stripping. The MMI soil survey should be extended to cover additional parts of the claims.
