number of cases, perhaps using questionnaires, it is usually described as a
survey. Alternatively, a survey might make use of already available data,
collected for another purpose. A survey may be cross-sectional (data
collected at one time) or longitudinal (collected over a period). Because of
the largernumber ofcases, a survey will generallyinvolvesomequantitative
analysis.

HYPOTHESIS
A hypothesis consists either of a suggested explanation for an observable
phenomenon or of a reasoned proposal predicting a possible causal correlation
among multiple phenomena. The term derives from the Greek, hypotithenai
meaning "to putunder" or "to suppose." Thescientificmethod requiresthat onecan

observations or on extensions of scientific theories. Even though the words
"hypothesis" and "theory" are often used synonymously in common and informal
usage, a scientifichypothesisisnotthesame as a scientifictheory.

DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
FREIGHT INTRODUCTION
Freight is a major cost head of the company. Every company puts an extra efforto
reduce thishead to thebest possibleextent in order to reduce itscost of the product.
The Company pays two types of freight which includes freight inward and freight
outward
Freightinwardisthe amountthatis paidbythecompany for acquiringgoods like raw
material, advertisinggoods or forbringing finishedgoods in thecompany. Like wise
the company purchases sugar, Carbon Di Oxide for manufacturing various types of
beveragesinits product portfolio.
Freight Outward is the sum that is paidby the company fordelivering goodsby the
transporters at thedistributors outlet. The freight rates are previouslydeterminedby
thecompany withthehelp of a contract/ agreement whichismadeto acquireservices
on a yearlybasis.
The rates for various stations are negotiated and after the process of negotiation the
agreementismade or renewed for providingservices. The agreementincludesvarious
terms andconditions whichis applicable from whenthetruckishired for a stationtill
thetimeitdoesnot reachesthedestination.
Like one oftheconditionis ofdetention whichmeansthatthetruckshouldbeunloaded
by the distributor within 24 hours of reaching the distributors outlet if the truck is
detained for more than 24 hours then the company has to pay extra charges to the
transporterso asto remuneratethe labouremployedbythetransporter.

Conclusion
Gone are thedays when training was a 2 hour process on the firstday of the
job. Training has transformed from an add-on function to a core function of
companies. It hasbecome more of a science with systematic rules and formats
guiding thecompanies onhow to go about training anddevelopment. And that is
the wayitshouldbe.
