ABOUT THE COURSE
In everyday life, the development of life skills helps students to find new ways of thinking and
problem solving. As a teacher recognize the impact of their actions and teaches them to take
responsibility for what they do rather than blame others. Build their confidence both in spoken
skills and for group collaboration & cooperation. Life Skills help young generation to have healthy
relationships and to hone leadership qualities, which can be passed automatically to the next
generation, thus influencing future generations.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the course are:
• To familiarize students with the concept & importance of Life Skills.
• To introduce students with the role of education in developing Life Skills.
• To develop attitude of students towards developing Life Skills through education.
• To integrate Life skills with the teaching –learning process.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)
After the completion of the course the participants will be able to
• Translate knowledge, attitudes and values into actual abilities.
• Tackle emotional pain, conflicts, frustrations and anxieties.
• Cope with the challenges of everyday life.
• Maintain equilibrium between personal and professional life.
DETAIL OF THE COURSE:
The course was organised by Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh on
Gsuite Google Classroom (Link:
https://classroom.google.com/c/MjQzNjgwMzE2MDcw?cjc=rc34fgy ) as a Learning
Management System. The registration process was started by filling the Registration Form
(Link: https://forms.gle/AdbdA4km2R3p64tv7 ) given on the brochure. Total 83 candidates
were enrolled through the registration process and joined a WhatsApp group even (Link:
https://chat.whatsapp.com/Dp3XzOpc6xB1j8zl2FhUF4 ) through which they received all
necessary and relevant information about the course.
The course was delivered via Synchronous and Asynchronous Mode. The course was further
divided into weekly modules. Weekly content followed by Quiz and Assignment was provided
to participants for each day by Resource Persons Dr. Ritu Mago and Ms. Shivani Sharma. The
content was provided through Multimedia. Participants were allowed to discuss their doubts on
Discussion Forums. Announcements were made as per the requirement through WhatsApp
Group.
The fulfilling criterion for getting the certificate was to score 60% marks in written test and 40%
in the assignment and quiz will be eligible to get the E-certificate.
Overall Feedback was also taken from the participants. Almost all the participants gave positive
feedback and showed their interest in attending such types of courses again in the future.
