Report on International Women’s Day Events conducted by DHAN Foundation as part of EU

supported Project ‐ M‐GRIP

International Women day celebration events organized by DHAN Panchayat programme which is

supported by European Union (EU) is highlighted here. The events were organized in five districts in

Tamilnadu. Viz. Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Cuddalore and Nagapattinam. The events were organized from

March 5 – 10 (one week) and conducted 25 events in 25 places. Few of the events planned as big rally

was not able to conduct due to the implementation of election code of conduct by the election

commission. All other events except the big rally were conducted. The focus of all the events were

highlighting the women issues, Creating awareness among the women section on details are given

below.
