Rural poverty and hunger are not real problems. These are the real symptoms of the real basic problem : Unjust economy Social structure Political structure
Small Farmers – The “Boat People” of Agriculture
A permanent solution to hunger depends on the small farmers. They are called the “Rural Poor” or the “Boat People” of agriculture. Rural poverty has likewise deprived them of human dignity
Nature of Rural DevelopmentRURAL DEVELOPMENT- a
process by which one attempts to make optimum use of physical, human economic and social resources. It is primarily based on self-reliance.
CAMILLA: Model Rural Development
Camilla is located in Bangladesh where a percent of the population resides in the rural areas. The main source of income of the people is agriculture.
