Podsumowanie wizyty Comenius w Publicznym Gimnazjum przy Zespole Szkół i Przedszkola w Kaletach Miotku Comenius visit in Publiczne Gimnazjum w Kaletach Miotku From 4th-08th March teachers from partners schools of Comenius project ‘First Stage- Awesome Children Tales’ paid a visit in our school. Guests were welcomed according to the Polish tradition with bread and salt. Students prepared traditional dances and songs in English and Spanish. Teachers from partners schools saw the school, classrooms and asked a lot of questions about the system of education in Poland. High school students presented traditional stories from Romania - ‘The Bear Tricked by the Fox” and Polish legend about Wawel Dragon. In the afternoon ethnographic workshops took place in the headquarters of Song and Dance Ensemble Śląsk. It was an opportunity to learn about the tradition and customs in Poland. The next day we went to Krakow to see the places mentioned in the legend of Wawel Dragon. We took photos near the image of Wawel Dragon and bought souvenirs with its likeness. In the evening the Mayor of Kalety and local officials as well as teachers from ZSiP handed certificates during farewell dinner. On Friday we learnt traditional dances ‘Trojak’ and ‘Polonez” during dance and stage movements worhshops. Our guests visited the center of our town. In the afternoon discussed the project activities and summed up the project meeting.
