Petition was circulated by Kathryn Schreck, a neighborhood watch coordinator, who resides at 1718 Dellwood Ct., 63136.

Signatures were obtained from a total of 48 households, a total of 58 individuals, of which 5 were illegible.

Of these households, 8 were renters (17%), 34 were owner occupied (71%), and 6 were uncertain (13%).

Of the owner occupied households, 16 have been there "forever", which is to say, longer than online title records cover.

Of the owner occupied households with sale dates, the oldest was 1985. The mean ownership period for these homes was 14.3 years.

Since 1985 was the oldest record included, it is conservative to assume that the "forever" tenure was 30 years.

With that assumption, the mean ownership period for owner occupied homes was 21.7 years.

The woman who submitted the signatures, who is the neighborhood watch coordinator, claims that "80% if not more" of the homes are rental properties.

We checked county records for the 55 parcels on Scottdale Drive, from which they obtained the most signatures.

We found that 27 parcels (49%) indicated either a corporate owner, or a different mailing address, indicating rental properties.

The remaining 28 parcels (51%) were listed as owner occupied properties.
