Dear Sensometrics participants,  First of all, on behalf of Agrocampus Ouest, we’d  like  to  welcome  you  to  the Sensometrics  2012  conference  that  takes place for the first time at Agrocampus Ouest, Rennes, France. This  booklet  contains  (almost)  all  the practical  information  you  need  to  know about  this  event,  from  the  pre‐conference tutorials  that  take place on  July  the  10th,  to the conference itself from July the 11th to July the 13th. We hope that you will have a terrific time at the  conference and  that  you will enjoy  your stay in Rennes.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION How to get to the conference site 

From the airport  

By taxi You  can  go  to  the  conference  site  or  in  the  town  centre  by  TAXIS  (it  is  about  10 minutes from the town centre) +33 299 30 79 79  By bus You can go in town by taking the BUS No. 57, bus stop République. Length of journey: about 35 minutes. Buses  run  from 5.30 am  to 0.11 am about once every 20 minutes (there  is  a  more  frequent  service  in  the  mornings  and  evenings).   Then  for  the conference site, see From downtown below. 

From the station 

By subway Take the subway (only one line, one every 3 minutes) direction J.F Kennedy. Get off at stop Villejean Universités (duration: 7 min). Then the conference site will be  indicated (it is about 10 minutes by walk).  You can also take the subway to go downtown stop République. 

From downtown 

By bus from Place de la République:  

• Take  the  bus  number  4 (one  every  10 minutes,  duration:  10 min)  direction Beauregard. Get  off  at  stop  Marbeuf.  Then  the  conference  site  is  about  5 minutes by foot and will be indicated. 

• Take the bus number 53 (one every 20 minutes, duration: 10 min), direction La Chapelle  Thouarault.  Get  off  at  stop  Agrocampus:  you  are  in  front  of  the conference site. 

By subway Take the subway Place Ste Anne or Place de  la République direction J.F Kennedy. Get off at stop Villejean Universités. Then the conference site will be  indicated (it  is about 10 minutes by walk).

 • Official Reception  (Wednesday, 11 July, 19:00 – 20:00) at  the City Hall of Rennes, the heart of downtown. Address: 1 place de la Mairie. After  the  reception, you can keep on discussing  in one of  the many  restaurants and pubs located downtown. We  arranged  a  bus  transfer from  the  conference  site  to  the City Hall  of Rennes  at 18h40. Please make sure to be there on time!  • Conference Dinner  (Thursday,  12  July,  19:00 – 23:00) will  take place Lycée Saint‐Vincent. Address: 57 rue de Paris. We arranged a bus transfer from the conference site to the conference dinner place at 18h40. Please make sure to be there on time! Bus transfer back in the city center has been arranged as well (22:30; 23:00). It is also possible to go back into downtown by walk (rue de Paris is in the center).
