Systems and devices to monitor andcontrol the efficiency of photovoltaicparks are essential to ensure that thesolar investment is a solid one.The web server Eos Box controls andsupervises the whole installation,acquiring information from Eos-Arraygroups, inverters, energy meters and the

interface protection. The data isavailable from anywhere, via Internet. The string box Eos ASB - with pre-assembled control devices - canmanage up to 250 A total string current(from 10 to 15 strings).With the DPY displays it is possible toremotely show the production of any

power generation system. The DPY 5 has 5 rows in order todisplay present power, energyproduced since installation, CO2emissions saved, date/time andexternal temperature. In photovoltaic plants from 6 to 100kW the energy generated by the solarmodules has to be converted intothree phase 400 VAC power. The Carlo Gavazzi ISMG 3 series PVinverters convert the energy into truesinewave balanced three phasepower to be fed into the utility grid. This inverter is a true sinewave three-phase balanced output and deliversbalanced output even in the event thatone string might fall out. The anti-islanding and the grid monitoringsystem ensure system safety andcompliance with the relevant nationalrecommendations. They can be installed either internally orexternally, on walls or on the ground.

Photovoltaic plants in residential areasare mostly grid connected installations. Modules are set on roofs and the energyproduced by the PV modules is deliveredto the inverters and then fed into thepublic grid. Carlo Gavazzi offers a wide range ofdevices and components for theconfiguration of the electrical solarsystem.The transformerless inverters, ISMGseries, convert direct current from thesolar panels into alternate current. Therange includes several models from 3up to 5.1 kWp. Efficiency of theinverters is of the highest. The exclusiveSmart MPPT technology ensures theincrease of energy up to 20% thanks to

the fully functional PV string controlsoftware. The Carlo Gavazzi inverter rangeincludes the single phase ISMGT1 withHF transformer. This enables the use ofamorphous (thinfilm) panels thattypically have one of the polesgrounded. Dedicated software (ISMG

Micro and mini aeolic turbines aresuitable for domestic, business,industrial and farm use, also in remoteareas, and can be either grid-connected or off grid. Carlo Gavazzi is concentrating itsefforts on microaeolic powergenerating systems - Mistral 3K -

providing a hassle free wind turbine,with all the required devices for theinstallation integrated into specificcabinets, so that the installer cancarry out as few operations aspossible. Mistral 3k Series CARLOGAVAZZI offers a complete and easysolution for micro aeolic power

generating systems in order to supplyenergy to the public grid or,alternatively, charge batteries toenergise stand alone systems.The wind turbine (WT3) provides highperformance, very low inertia andlimited mechanical losses. In the bestconditions, it can have a totalefficiency of up to 39%.The Mistral3k management cabinet -WTC3 - includes in one unit all that isnecessary to manage the wind turbineoperation and to connect it to theutility grid. It can be equipped with anenergy meter in order to display,locally or on a remote device, thepower produced, the energy, thevoltages and the currents.
