•Doctrines were created during the Renaissance.

•Even though it was hard to believe everything he taught, many people accepted Luther’s doctrines.
Predestination
•The doctrine that God has determined long ago who would gain salvation.
•God already decided who is going to heaven or not.
•Predestination can scare people because nothing can change their fate.
Theocracy
•Government run by church leaders
•The country was a theocracy. •
•Calvin set up a theocracy to run the Geneva community.
Annulment
•To cancel a marriage
•We annulled the meeting
•Many people annul their marriages.
