    Purpose:

    The period of time in WesternCivilization from about 1400 to 1650A.D. is known as the RENAISSANCE.

    During this time, starting in thenorthern cities of Italy and slowlyspreading north and west across

    Europe, many new and excitingdevelopments took place.
