How to remove the background on a PowerPoint slide

Say you have a background . . .

• And you want to change it

• Like the one on this slide – yuk!… please go to next slide!

Select the Design menu in PowerPoint

On the far right side, select Background (click on the very small arrow)

Format Background will pop up

Within the Format Background pop up window under Fill, select “Solid Fill”

Then select the desired color (the default, “Automatic” may be white,

which is our choice here)

If necessary, select “Apply to All” to change the background on all slides

Otherwise you will change the background for just the current slide

Close the Format Background window, and your background is now white!
