Remote Openings uses a secure, scalable, and lightning fast technology stack. The application was developed from the ground up using Ruby on Rails (which is used by some of the world’s best technology companies, including GitHub, Shopify, Airbnb, Twitch, SoundCloud, Hulu, and more). The application is hosted on Heroku’s fast and scalable servers, and analytics (such as acquisition channels, demographics, behavior, and more) are tracked via Google Analytics. Best of all, the running costs for this technology stack are minimal (currently less than $10/month).

The creator of Remote Openings, Josh, is a professional web designer and developer who loves building unique technology products. He enjoys the creative side of technology businesses (i.e. ideation, branding, user experience, etc), so he chose to create Remote Openings in order to sell it to someone who can grow it into a multi-million dollar company.

Why is the founder selling?

Being that Remote Openings is a startup with no revenue history, we had to rely on other metrics such as the value of fair compensation for the design and development of the application as well as the value of other assets. The compensation for the design and development of the intellectual property totaled $18,000 (estimated 500 hours over 4 months). Plus, additional assets such as the domain name, social media accounts, and idea/concept round the total up to $19,995.

How did you arrive at the valuation?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any form of financing or payment over time. We are expecting to meet a serious and financially capable buyer.

Is seller financing available?

Ideally the platform would be filled with user-generated content (such as jobs from real employers and recruiters), however since we’ve just launched, we seeded the database with fictitious jobs from fictitious employers.

Are the job posts on the site real?

Josh will gladly assist with the transition process. However, no ongoing support is required as the application is tested, live, and completely self-service. With that said, no ongoing support is offered beyond the assistance with the transition process. For a non-technical buyer, it’s recommended to have a technical contact to assist with site maintenance.

Is the founder willing to provide ongoing support?

The sale will be governed by a simple Purchase Agreement (available for your review). All of Remote Openings’ assets will be transferred to the new owner, including the entire code base, domain name, social media accounts, graphics & images, and any other assets associated with Remote Openings. All assets are already prepared to be transferred seamlessly, without any interruption to the live site.
