To integrate and standardise approaches in defining remote access interfaces to instruments and sophisticated laboratory equipment in e-Infrastructure environments

• Provide an overview of existing solutions and best practices for interactive service-oriented infrastructures
• Research and document: – The state of the art in grid and network infrastructures
in areas connected with laboratory equipment sharing– Existing standards allowing the use of lab devices
remotely
• Integrating research: interactivity, visualisation in a workflow of remote instrumentation
• Resource virtualisation

• present best practises– what can be taken from existing projects and
other research and working groups– establish the priorities of objectives
• Work out white papers of the current state• Work on specific objectives
