REMINDERS:

ONLINE SCHOOL STORE – The online store for ordering Westside apparel closes later today. The flyer is attached for your information – order today!

Clothes Closet Update – We are in need of girls and boys “soft pants”. If you happen to be doing some Fall cleaning over the long weekend, we are running short of athletic pants, leggings, etc. for boys and girls! Thank you!

Parent/Teacher Conferences - If you haven’t returned your Parent/Teacher Conference Sign-up form, please do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so conferences can be scheduled. A sign-up form is included with today’s notes just in case you’ve misplaced yours. (Please note: 4th Grade has a different form which was sent home separately).

3RD STREET SIGNAGE/TRAFFIC FLOW CHANGES The Village of Kimberly will be updating the parking signage in front of Westside soon. Please see the notes below; we don’t want our parents to get tickets! Please note the following on the attached map: • There will be no parking, standing, or stopping on the south side (red) of the street • There will be a 5-minute drop off zone on the north side (blue) of the street • The crosswalk pattern will also be changed • Additional parking will be available on the south side of 3RD Street in front of Verhagen Park

Dear Westside Parents, As part of this year’s Kids Heart Challenge (formerly called Jump Rope for Heart), the students will be bringing home Monthly Family Challenges from physical education (gym) class. It is entirely up to you as a family if you would like to participate in the challenges or not. The challenges could be a family challenge or it could be a challenge for just your child/ren. Each month will have a different theme for the challenge. For example, November will be No Soda November. At the end of each month, if your family/child completes the challenge, please send back the challenge sheet, and do not forget to sign it. The names of those who participated will go into a drawing to be done on February 13th, which is the day of our Kids Heart Challenge event. PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES – November 19th & 29th 5:00-8:00 PM

FOR 5K – GRADE 3 4th GRADE STUDENT-LED CONFERENCE SIGN-UP FORMS WILL COME HOME SEPARATELY.

Dear Parents:

Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Monday, November 19 and Thursday, November 29 from 5-8 p.m. We want to begin scheduling conferences, so we ask that you take a little time to complete and return the bottom portion of this letter stating your choice of days. If you cannot make either day or need a longer conference than 10 minutes, please contact your child’s teacher(s) and set up a time before or after school on a different day. Parent/teacher conferences are a great time to talk with the teacher about how your child is progressing up to this time. We hope you are able to take advantage of this opportunity. Traveling teachers/part-time teachers have the following schedules: Art – Kimberly Medema – November 19 & 29 – 6:00-8:00 Music 5K -- Katy Marino – November 19 – 5:00-8:00 Phy-Ed-5K – Colin Englebert – November 19 – 5:00-8:00 School Psychologist -- Katie Bork – November 29 – 5:00-8:00 Speech – Amber Allen – will be available on both evenings The following special teachers will be here on November 19 & November 29 from 5:00-8:00 PM: Phy-Ed-Grades 1-4-Amy Phillips Music Grades 1-4-Beth Kinzel Guidance – Stacy Courtney

Grades 5K through 4 will be dismissed at 2:00 PM both days and we will not provide any supervision after 2:00. Please make arrangements for your children.
