Follow the Leader 5K, a 4-H Event! When: Saturday, April 27th at 8:00am
Where: North Forsyth Middle School (3645 Coal Mountain Dr, Cumming, GA)
Proceeds support the Forsyth County 4-H Club. We have awesome race shirts, and awards to the Overall M/F, Overall Master's M/F, Overall Grand Master's, Overall Sr.
Master's, and top 3 in all the normal 5 year age groups. $27.00 per person.

~Sawnee Mountain Day~
Come explore the mountain where 4-Hers will go on an Environmental Nature Hike and do extreme Tree Climbing! Tree climbing programs use ropes and special tree climbing equipment to move climbers up into the tree tops. All equipment will be provided. You must wear closed toed shoes for this event! Bring you own lunch. (Maximum of 20)
When: Thursday, July 25th-Drop-off between 8:45-9:00am and pick-up at 4:00pm
Where: Sawnee Mountain Visitors Center (4075 Spot Road, Cumming, GA)
~Animal Shelter Day 1 and 2~
(These are two separate events, each 4-Her may come to only ONE.)
Come volunteer at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter where you’ll get to make dog and cat toys, help out around the shelter, and visit with the animals! There will be two different dates for you to choose from and each 4-H’er may come to one, not both. Lunch is provided with this event—Chick-Fil-A. (Maximum of 10 per day)
When: Thursday, June 20th or Thursday, July 11th Drop-off at 10:30am & pick-up at 3:00pm
Where: Forsyth County Animal Shelter (4065 County Way, Cumming, GA)
~Atlanta History Center Day~
Learn more about Atlanta and Georgia History, visit the newly restored Cyclorama Swan House, historic farm, gardens, and featured exhibits! Transportation will be provided. We will meet at the 4-H Office (5110 Piney Grove Road) at 8:00am! Bring or buy your own lunch (bring $10 for lunch if you want to purchase it there).
When: Thursday, July 18th Drop-off at 8:00am and pick-up at 4:00pm
Where: Meet at the 4-H Office (5110 Piney Grove Road Cumming, GA)
~Dahlonega Day~
Spend a day in Dahlonega panning for gemstones, visiting the shops, and tubing down the Chestatee River! 4-Hers are required to wear closed toed shoes for the Mine Tours. Please bring your own sack lunch. (Minimum of 25, maximum of 40) Transportation will be provided.
When: Thursday, June 27th Drop-off between-10:00-10:15am & pick-up at 3:45pm.
Where: Meet at the 4-H Office (5110 Piney Grove Road Cumming, GA)
~Farm Day with Horses~
Ready to spend a day out on the Ranch & learn how to care for livestock? Then join 4-H June 12th at FPR Equestrian (address will be given when registered). Learn about equine behavior and care, play some fun ranch games, work hands on with horses, and much more. Remember to wear closed toe shoes, pants and clothes that do not mind some dirt on them. Bring your own lunch. (Maximum of 20)
When: Wednesday, June 12th Drop-off at 9:00am & pick-up at 3:00pm
Where: FPR Equestrian, located in Forsyth County (address will be given at registration.)
~Strawberry Picking~
Come pick a pint of strawberries and learn how they grow! You’ll also get to go on a hayride, visit the petting zoo, and play at the Fun Park! Please bring your own lunch. (Maximum of 25)
When: Thursday, May 30th Drop-off at 10:15am & pick-up at 2:30pm
