REMINDER NOTES FOR YIQI YANG FEI GONG (DY EXERCISES TO BENEFIT THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM) 1. GANYU YINGXIANG (A DRY BATH ON THE YINGXIANG POINTS) - inhale lightly, exhale forcefully - massage with thumb knuckle from Yingxiang up the side of the nose through Bitong to Jingming points. - turning left, block left nostril, press the left Yingxiang point, turning right, block right nostril - Concentrate on ShangYang or Shaoshang points 2. DANBI QINGTIAN (SUPPORT THE SKY WITH ONE ARM) - step diagonally backwards - on the second movement point the front leg forwards and square the hips - Light inhalation and strong exhalation 3. HUITOU WANGYUE (TURN THE HEAD TO LOOK AT THE MOON) - everything is on the one side - i.e. step to left, look at the left hand, make the fist with the left hand, turn the head to the left. Repeat on the right. - when pressing join Taiyuan and Shenmen while at the same time stretching the thumb and forefinger to stimulate Shaoshang and ShangYang. 4. QINGZHOU PINGDU (ROWING THE SMALL BOAT ACROSS THE LAKE) - squeeze thumb & index finger together before releasing to stimulate Shaoshang and Shangyang 5. ZHUOTONG XIYI (A CLUMSY CHILD WASHES THE CLOTHES) - on the second squat twist so that the knee is between the hands, on the third squat twist more so that the hands point to the side. 6. XUANZHUAN TIANZHU (TWISTING AROUND THE GOLDEN PILLAR) - twist as far as you can & keep looking behind until you turn to front again - when curling in the fingers, begin with the little finger - concentrate on Mingmen. - When hands in Y position Laogong faces Laogong. 7. SHOUHUI PIPBA (PLAYING THE LUTE) - sink down, don't step forward on movement 2 - Touch Shao Hai point.(Heart) 8. HONGYANG FEIKONG (THE SWAN SOARS THROUGH THE SKY) - shake hands from the wrists - keep feet flat on the floor when squatting - left arm closest to the body on 1 st & 3rd rounds, right on 2 nd & 4th. SHOUSHI – WINDING UP Slowly lower the hands to the body then to Dantian. as the music finishes to resume the Beginning position. Stand for a few moments before leaving. N.B.
