REMEMBER…REMEMBER THE 5TH OF NOVEMBER

What happened in the story???

•1603, James I became the King of England.

•Robert Catesby met a man named Guido Fawkes.

•They got three more helpers and, together they decided to blow up the Houses of Parliament. •They got 36 barrels of gunpowder! •At the end, on the 4th November 1605, Guy Fawkes got arrested and confessed to being John Jonhson.

Guido Fawkes a.k.a Guy Fawkes was hired by Robert Catesby to blow up the Houses Of Parliament.

Why did Guy Fawkes and Robert Catesby want to blow up the Houses of Parliament???

Because they wanted to kill King James and all his followers. They were jealous of King James, and they wanted to kill him because they wanted the Catholics to be back on the throne.

We remember Guy Fawkes by letting off rockets that go off in

different colours.

We eat toffee apples, bombs on sticks, burgers and candyfloss and other

traditional stuff. Sometimes we even have fairground rides and stalls with

things to buy (we could also buy food!)

We have been making recipes for bombs on sticks.
