REMEMBERING OUR LOVED ONES
Luther High School Keeping Christ in High School Education
Ever feel different or out of place? Ever feel like a victim of rude comments or bullying?
God has made each one of us uniquely different – and He does not make mistakes!
The Drama department is preparing for its fall produc-tion of Hans Christian Anderson’s, “The Ugly Duckling.” The show will feature both high school and grade school students. The story tells of a homely little bird born in a barnyard who suffers abuse from the others around her until, much to her delight (and to the surprise of others), she matures into a beautiful swan. Take note- there’s a beautiful swan in everyone!
Please join us for the show!

Luther High School Keeping Christ in High School Education
Back to school specials have been a marketing strategy for many busi-nesses for weeks, even months, before the first day of classes. Getting your student equipped for a new school year can be expensive. Back-to-school spending may total $26.5 billion this year, according to the National Retail Federation.
Our theme for the 2014-15 school year, “Be still and know that I am God”, is truly a “back to school special” reminder of God’s grace and mercy that we need not only this school year, but throughout our time of grace. Our “stillness” and “knowledge” of a loving, merciful God came at a very high price, nothing less than Jesus’ life of perfect obedience, so He could be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
In that “stillness” and “knowledge” of our loving and merciful God, may we continue to be mindful that we “are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph. 2:10). This is Christ-centered education in action.
Mr. Paul Wichmann, Principal
