Remember Who You Are!• Peter pointed out the need to remember • “For this reason I will not be negligent to remind

you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.”

II Pet.1:12-15

Remember That You Are A Debtor

• Paul recognized indebtedness to lost. Rom.1:14-15• Christ mission was to save the lost. Lk.19:10; I Tim.

1:15• This should also be our mission! We have a

responsibility to save others. We have been saved to save others. Mk.16:15; Matt.28:19-20

Remember That You Are A Christian

• We have been cleansed from our sin, our names are in the Lamb’s book of life, we are children of God, we are Christians.

• Remember we wear the name of Jesus Christ. We are called by a worthy (noble) name. James.2:7

• If we remember who we are we should not: - engage in things that will tarnish the name - frequent places of questionable activities - say and do things that bring reproach on the

precious name of Jesus Christ.• We should be more than Christian in name.

Our children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, etc. They are watching whether we know it or not.

have forgotten who you are!
