1. The board exam is a test for entry-level nurses. This means that it does NOTexpect you to know everything. So don!t panic when you encounter "uestionsand you have no idea what it is asking. #se test-taking strategies in aswering it.

 $fter doing an extensive review and you still feel like you don!t know enoughdon!t feel bad. %t!s natural to be anxious. $ little anxiety will actually help duringthe board exam as it will keep you alert and focused.

&. 'hen reading "uestions.. find out what the test item is asking you about. %f the"uestion said.. ('hat Nursing $ction...( $lways think about the N#)S%N*+)O,SS and remember it all begins with $SSSSNT. %f the "uestion asks you about (+atient needs..( $lways think about $S/O'!S 0%)$),0 O2N3S and remember that +0S%O/O*%, N3S is priority. %f the "uestionasks you about (+rioriti4ation or which patient to see first( $lways think about $5,.. remember $irway 5reathing and ,irculation.  $lso remember that nursing interventions are categori4ed into three namely6%ndependent %nterdependent and 3ependent. %ndependent nursing actions arethose that the nurse may perform for the patient without the need of a doctor!sorder. %nterdependent are those where the nurse collaborates with othermembers of the health team 7+T dietician medtechs etc.8. 3ependent are thosethat re"uire a doctors order.
