Leece-Neville Heavy Duty Systems is the US-based manufacturing division of Prestolite Electric

Incorporated. Prestolite Electric is a global manufacturer of alternators and starter motors, primarily

designed for the heavy duty marketplace and sold through Original Equipment (OE), Original

Equipment Dealer (OES), and Warehouse Distributor (WD) channels. All US manufacturing and

distribution facilities are QS9000 certified.

Applied technological and engineering capabilities allow Prestolite Electric to continually introduce

development and application are performed by dedicated engineering teams that work closely with

partners at a number of major universities in the areas of electronics, magnetics, alternative materials

and product testing. Prestolite Electric’s dedication to innovative design and manufacturing excellence

has propelled them to the forefront of equipment suppliers to the heavy-duty market.

Leece-Neville Remanufacturing is also QS9000 certified, and incorporates the same attention to

detail and focus on quality in its remanufacturing processes as it does to its original equipment

manufacturing. Our certified quality system assures that acceptable quality product (based on OEM

specifications) is provided to our customers on a timely basis, thus insuring customer satisfaction.

Streamlined operations and improved material handling have resulted in efficient work flow, and

updated production equipment gives us consistent quality and increased capacity to meet our

customer’s needs. We have also implemented automatic test equipment to verify product

performance that meets or exceeds OEM requirements.

Leece-Neville has always assumed a pro-active role in eliminating product-life shortening conditions

that are usually associated with remanufactured parts. All warranty returns and field complaints are

analyzed on a timely basis, thus resulting in design improvements to eliminate reoccurring failures.

PRESTOLITE ELECTRIC INCORPORATEDLIMITED COMMERCIAL WARRANTY POLICY

Prestolite Electric Incorporated (hereafter “Prestolite”) warrants each Prestolite product to be free of defects in material or workmanship under nor-mal use and service. This warranty applies to both Original Equipment Manufacturers and authorized Warehouse Distributors. The length of theWarranty Period may be determined by referring to the warranty period included with this policy statement.

This warranty covers products manufactured by Prestolite and sold under the tradenames PRESTOLITE®, LEECE-NEVILLE®, AND LOADHANDLER®.

The warranty period commences on the in-service or install date and is not transferable. Failure to provide the in-service or install date on the war-ranty claim form will cause the warranty period to begin on the date the part was manufactured.

A completed warranty claim form should accompany all parts submitted to Prestolite for warranty consideration. The claim form should contain allof the information required. Lack of proper information will result in denial of warranty claim. Claims must be submitted no later than 60 days afterpart is removed.

This warranty does not apply if in sole judgement of Prestolite, the product has been consumed, subject to accident, faulty repair, improper adjust-ment, installation, lubrication, or wiring, neglect, misuse; or is caused by failure of a part not manufactured by Prestolite. Also excluded from thiswarranty are parts subject to normal wear (i.e. brushes).

This warranty shall not apply if any Prestolite product is used for a purpose for which it is not designed or altered in any way so as to effect adverse-ly its performance and reliability. Prestolite requires the examination of ALL products or parts to confirm that the part has failed as a result of mate-rial or workmanship. Transportation for products and parts submitted to Prestolite for warranty consideration must be prepaid. Repaired or replacedPrestolite parts will be returned, transportation and handling charges collect. No charge will be made for labor or material in effecting such repairs.

The obligation of Prestolite under this Commercial Warranty is limited to making good by repair or replacement, as Prestolite deems most appro-priate. This Commercial Warranty does not apply to products or parts where adjustments will correct the alleged defect Prestolite neither assumesnor authorizes any other person to assume on its behalf any other warranty or liabilities in connection with Prestolite products.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO LOSS OF VEHICLE OR EQUIPMENT, LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE, OR OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CON-SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. PRESTOLITE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES arising out of or from the use ofPrestolite’s products by the buyer, its assignees, employees, agents or customers.

This supersedes All Previous Warranty Policies issued for PRESTOLITE®, LEECE-NEVILLE®, and LOADHANDLER®.

The applications listed above are general guidelines for warranties to be offered. Each specific application must be approved byPrestolite Engineering before above warranties are offered.

SERVICE components/replacement parts are warrantied for ninety (90) days. If used in the repair of Prestolite’s original equipment,the unexpired portion of the original warranty period will apply; provided original equipment service parts are used.

(*) Warranty period is twelve (12) months or 100,000 miles (240,000 kilometers) whichever comes first. Removal and Reinstallation (R&R) labor only allowed for drive-in service on Remanufactured Loadhandler, Leece-Neville, alternators, and cranking motors. Refer to the Flat Rate Schedule L212 forallowable times.

LEECE-NEVILLE ALTERNATOR & STARTERCORE RETURN POLICY

Generala) Cores must be complete, not disassembled, and include ALL component parts.b) Cores must not be damaged by non-operational causes such as rust, rough handling or fire.c) Alternator and Starter cores are limited to the Part Numbers purchased (same Core Group, Amperage and Voltage) unless written approval is received.d) Cores shipped in 55-gallon drums will NOT be accepted.e) Return eligibility is twelve (12) months from Core Invoice Date. No cores will be accepted if they are returned after 12 months.

Request Return AuthorizationDo not ship cores until a Return Authorization (RMA) is issued by Leece-Neville Remanufacturing. Please contact Customer Service for a Return Authorization (RMA) Number - (800) 942-1920.

Please have the following information ready when calling for RMA Number: Summary of Pallets, Part Numbers and Quantities per Pallet. For example: 40 ea. RM110-555 5 ea. 2670LC

FreightPrestolite/Leece-Neville will accept freight charges provided shipment weight is over 500 Pounds and our preferred carriers are used. The freight on shipments under 500 Pounds will be at the customer’s expense. Please refer to the attached Core Return Routing Chart for carrier selection.

CreditCredit will be issued based on Core Purchase Price contingent upon “Core Eligibility”. Following deductions will apply when these conditions exist:
