not envy, it does not boast, it is not

proud. It is not rude, it is not self-

seeking, it is not easily angered…”

“Love does no harm to its neighbor.”

- Romans [13:10]

“Be completely humble and gentle; be

patient, bearing with one another in

love.” - Ephesians [4:2]

“So whatever you wish that others

would do to you, do also to them, for

this is the Law and the Prophets.”

"Perhaps most important, we need to keep saying to anyone out there who has ever been assaulted: you are not alone. We have your back. I've got your back.""

President Barack Obama, January 24, 2014"!

BYSTANDER INTERVENTION:

Heighten awareness. Know what is going on around you in all situations. Create a larger sense of responsibility within the campus community to care for one another. Build the student body’s confidence in their skills to help one another. Change the stigma around peer norms."

PERSONAL SAFETY:

Watch out for yourself. If you are uncomfortable in a situation, leave. Do not risk getting injured or risk your emotional or mental health if you are uncomfortable. Always walk in groups at night. Do not walk alone and let people know where you are."

CHANGING THE STIGMA:

Both men and women are sexually assaulted. When

someone opens up to you about it, Start by Believing1. Do

not ask questions leading them to feel guilty. Stop victim blaming. You may be the only person he/she opened up to, do not let them get discouraged. Be there. "

1 Start by Believing is a campaign regarding how to react to sexual assault.
