On components, the PN/SN Off should be same as part being removed from aircraft. Whenever there is a difference, you should mark out the incorrect, with the correct information and provide your initial on the card. You may also write correct part off information “at bottom” of Task card to ensure legibility. If this component is a time limited item, please notify the MyCMP Analyst so any potential tracking issues can be resolved. Note: Service Center policy may also require you to notify the inspector for customer follow-up.

If the same part is being installed that was removed, the actual part PN/SN should be written in the PN/SN “On” field. DO NOT write the words “Same”, “Same as above” or other notations to indicate Off fields apply to the PN/SN On fields. A physical verification of the part going back on is required and must be entered here to ensure the compliance PN/SN is updated correctly.

Part Run Times for Time Limited Components

• Whenever the “Task Type” indicates “Replacement” or “Overhaul”. The compliance should include the Part Run time on the Task Card.

• Replacement requires Time Since New • Overhaul requires either Time Since New or Time Since Overhaul • Typical Part Run Times may be obtained from the following areas:

– 8130 Tags or other Vendor documents for New and Overhauled parts. – Airframe / Engine / APU logbook – MyCMP historical record (i.e. R&I, Overhaul, Discard, and Scrap)

Part run times are required when ever the “Task Type” indicates “Replacement” or “Overhaul”

Required

Service Adjustment Required box should be marked as follows: •For code procedures that contain adjustments to be made when observed settings are outside of a preferred value range: When adjustments have to be made to bring the system/component into established tolerance ranges, it should be viewed as a squawk. If there were no squawks when the procedure was performed, no adjustments would be necessary. •For lubrication/Servicing tasks: Select “OK AS IS” for typical lubrication/servicing. However, If during performance of the task, it is evident that lubrication/servicing was missing or improper prior to task accomplishment, it should be viewed as a squawk.
