1. 4 N(T) to ITE
1. All 4 N(T) students are strongly encouraged to seekadmission to the ITE for their post-secondaryeducation. Refer to handout for application processand deadlines.
2. There is keen competition for places in ITE Nitec. YouMUST participate in the Main Application Phase,else your chances of gaining a place in ITE will begreatly reduced.
3. Students need to exercise the FULL 12 choices andinclude less popular options to maximise theirchances of a successful posting. (See powerpointhandout)

• Students keen to apply for the TraineeshipScheme should also be reminded toconcurrently participate in the MainApplication phase to avoid missing out aplace in ITE altogether.
• Students who had earlier participated in theSchool College Admission Scheme (SCAS)and were unsuccessful in their application,should be reminded to participate in theMain Phase Application to avoid missing aplace in ITE.

• Students who have been offered at least one Niteccourse or the e-NFP must take it up.
• If you have difficulties in the application process,please approach your Form Teachers for help. Theschool will make available computers for you if youdo not have access to one.

3. 4 N(A) to Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)
• PFP aims to prepare well-performing Sec 4 N(A) studentsfor progression into selected polytechnic diplomacourses.
• As an alternative to Sec 5, the PFP is a diploma-specificfoundation programme conducted over two semesters atthe polytechnics.
• About 1,200 PFP places are offered annually, spreadacross more than 80% of diploma course offerings at thepolytechnics.
• Eligibility does not guarantee placement in a PFP course .

3. 4 N(A) to Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)Criteria
• EL MA B3 ≤ 11 points
• EL & Math ≤ Grade 3
• Remaining 3 subjects ≤ Grade 3
Offer letters (Form P) will be given after the release ofGCE O-Level Results. Students interested in applying forPFP should first progress to Sec 5 in 2017.

4. 4 N(A) to ITE then Poly via ITE Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
1. DPP aims to prepare well-performing Secondary 4N(A) students for progression into selectedpolytechnic diploma courses via a 2-year HigherNitec programme at ITE and a 10-week DPPpreparatory course.
2. DPP students who attain the required Higher NitecGrade Point Average (GPA) scores are guaranteed aplace in one of the polytechnic diploma coursesmapped to the Higher Nitec course.

Submission of Direct-Entry-Scheme to
Polytechnic Programme (DPP) Applications
• All DPP-eligible students will receive a copy of Form Nwhich contains a unique Personal Identification Number(PIN).
• Submit applications online via the DPP applicationwebsite (https://www.ite.edu.sg).
• Students who have sat for both GCE ‘N’ and GCE ‘O’Level examination subjects can apply for the DPP priorto the release of their GCE ‘O’ Level results. They maysubmit an application in December using both their GCE‘N’ Level and school-based preliminary ‘O’ Level results

Submission of Direct-Entry-Scheme to
Polytechnic Programme (DPP) Applications
Release of DPP Posting Results
• The DPP posting results will be released at 9.00 am on 27
Dec 2016 (Tue). Students will be notified of this via SMS (if
they provide their mobile phone details). They will also be
able to check the posting results online via the ITE
application portal.
• Students who receive a DPP offer are required to log on to
the ITE application portal between 9.00 am on 27 Dec 2016
(Tue) and 3.00 pm on 29 Dec 2016 (Thu) to accept or reject
the DPP offer.

For students who are only interested in the PFP:
• You should progress to Sec 5, and apply for the PFP inJanuary. Students who have accepted their PFP offerswill withdraw from Sec 5 by the end of January.
• Being eligible to apply for the PFP does not guarantee asuccessful placement into a PFP course.
For students who are only interested in the DPP:
• You should apply to the DPP in Dec.
• Students who have accepted their DPP offers inDecember should NOT continue with Sec 5.
• Students who do not have a confirmed place in theDPP should report to school on 03 Jan 2017 for S5N

For students who are uncertain and/or interested in bothPFP and DPP:
• If you are certain that you do not want to continue withSec 5 and pursue the GCE O-Levels, you may apply forthe DPP in December. Upon the release of the GCE O-Level results in January, eligible students may apply forthe PFP. If you are offered and accept a PFP place, youmay withdraw from the DPP.
Alternatively,
• You may progress to Sec 5 first. Upon release of the GCEO-Level results in January, you may then apply for thePFP and DPP concurrently

Criteria:
a) EL MA B3 ≤ 19 points
a) At least an ‘N’ level grade 5 for ALL subjectsused in the computation of EL MA B3.

Students who qualify and wish to apply foradmission to Sec 5 N(A) in 2017 are to:
• Meet with the Principal/Vice Principal ontoday (19 Dec) at 3:30pm at the AVA Room(Blk H, Level 3).
• Submit Form A to general office by 22 Dec2016 (Thu).

Students who qualify and wish to apply foradmission to Sec 5 N(A) in 2017 are alsorecommended to:
• Apply for ITE (Higher Nitec or Nitec courses) ifthey score between 16 to 19 points. (Canapply for S5N and ITE concurrently).
• By 22 Dec 2016 (Thu) 5pm

6. 4 N(A) to ITEa) There is keen competition for places in ITE Nitec. Not participating in
the Main Application Phase greatly reduces a student’s likelihood ofgaining a place in ITE.
b) Students need to exercise the full 12 choices and include less popularoptions to maximise their chances of a successful posting.
c) N(A) students are on ‘an equal footing’ with N(T) students in ITE’sadmission process.
d) Application to ITE (Nitec or Higher Nitec courses),
• Nitec graduates with good GPA can apply for progression to the1st or 2nd year of a relevant Higher Nitec course. Higher Nitecgraduates with good GPA can apply for admission to the 1st/2ndyear of a related diploma course at the polytechnics.

Result Slip Amendment
• Check that your personal particulars (such asstatutory names and Hanyu Pinyin names) areprinted correctly on your result slip as thesame personal particulars will be printed onyour certificates.
• There will be an administrative fee of $50 forany request to amend the students’particulars after 23 Dec 2016 (Fri), to be paidby students.

Appeal to Review Results
• Appeal per subject is $112.35 (inclusive of 7%GST)
• Must have written support from SubjectTeacher and School Principal using Annex A
• Submitted through the school and received bySEAB by 23 Dec 2016 (Fri)

If you opt to go on to Sec 5 N(A), but changeyour mind shortly after, you will ONLY get yourSchool Graduation Certificate in Feb / Mar 2018.

Loss of School Graduation Certificate
• MOE and the school will not be able toreplace these documents
• BUT pupils may get a certified true copy fromMOE at an administrative fee chargeable.
• Have to collect personally with NRIC.
