CCM 4.1.0 Enhancement Overview

Archiving and Restoring Campaigns The ability to archive and restore campaigns has been added as a File menu

option.

Data Dictionary You can no longer create data labels with SQL or TI keywords. When assigning Length to numeric elements in the Data Definition window,

CCM automates the Valid Values, based on the length. Dates can now be used in all grids and functions. Date elements are designated

in the Data Definition window in the Data Dictionary by selecting the Use asDate check box.

Fulfillment Definitions If Stop on Match is selected as the Row Processing option, a message now

informs you about the server output default.

Function Developer A Debug area now identifies all errors by line found in functions. The new !Ucase and !Lcase built-in functions change all characters within the

character element into uppercase and lowercase, respectively. The new !DateDiff built-in function finds the difference between two dates by

working with Use as Date elements. Typing spaces in function names using the space bar will now automatically

type an underscore ( _ ).

Grids You can now change a column name without deleting the column's criteria.

Input & Output Definitions When replacing an existing element on a layout with <filler>, CCM now

maintains the existing format and length. Mainframe output definitions no longer allow individual <filler> greater than

256 bytes.

Job Monitor When a job is selected to be canceled in the Job Monitor, CCM now prompts

you to verify the selected job's TI name to prevent accidental cancellations.

Miscellaneous Enhancements The Permission Denied error message during compiles now includes the name

of the file that generated the error message. All SAS input views are renamed from *_IP_VW to *SAS_IP_VW.

You can schedule a SAS submit by specifying the SAS Step Type in the Job Scheduler Details window.

Nth For live submits, you can now specify live cap numbers, and CCM will

calculate the Nth cap for an Nth test, or it will use the full cap number entered for full submits.

The Nth Definition window has been reworked for calculating caps and percentages.

The Nth Percent is now limited to three decimal places.

One-to-Many Relationships One-to-many relationships enable one record on a table to match to many

records on a different table. We need to understand the interactions of multiple pieces of the same information in order to make a selection decision and/or market cell decisions.

Resolve Options In submits with an output table specified in the Submit Wizard, the output

table name is now the only table name shown in the Resolve Options window. A new Reset button erases all filtered table names in the current filter and in the

current Resolve Options window, excluding the first row containing the primary key and table.

The Reassign column is no longer present in the Resolve Options window. All SAS input views (*_SAS_IP_VW) are now excluded from the list of

available filter selections and in the drop-down menu for elements in the Incolumn of the Resolve Options window.

Resetting Previous Campaign Items CCM now saves up to the last five versions of campaign items. You can now

reset them to the previous version via a new Edit menu option.

Submit Users are now notified via e-mail when a submit is running single-threaded on

ORACLE. The ability to output to different servers in the same submit has been added. You can now generate constraints (enable Data Integrity Rules) on particular

server outputs in the same submit by specifying in the Submit Wizard. If you change the data source from Nth to Full (and vice versa) in Step 2 of the

Submit Wizard, CCM will now prompt a message to change the Filter Table Selections in Step 4.

Super Submit Super Submit now enables a previous submit to run without a recompile if

changes are made to grid criteria only.

Validating Items The Apply button no longer validates the specific item that is open, due to the

inability to continue with a save if the Data Dictionary is unavailable. Campaign items cannot be validated if they do not contain columns in grids or

rows in a record layout. Server output layouts with duplicate elements now fail validation.

!DateDiffThe !DateDiff built-in function finds the difference between two dates by working with Use as Date elements.

!DateDiff is not a valid nested function.

!DateDiff will not return a negative value between two dates no matter which date is written first. However, if date values are invalid, the result will be -1 and an error will be written to stdout.out.

Intervals are written as "d" (days), "m" (months) and "y" (years). The interval must be contained within quotes and contain no spaces.

If you enter a date value instead of a date element, you must include a pound sign (#).

Description!DateDiff returns the number of days, months or years between the two dates (dateelements) provided.

Grids

Changing Column NamesYou can change a column name without having to insert a new column and copy the criteria from the original column.

Changing a Column Name

1. In the right mouse menu if a grid, click Replace Element.

2. In the Replace Element window, select the replacement data element in the Withdrop-down menu.

3. Click OK.

Nth

Specifying CapsFor grids with the $nth function, you can specify full cap numbers for the cap. CCM calculates the Nth cap during a submit if the Calculate Nth Cap?option in the Tagging Definition and Fulfillment Definition windows is selected. Otherwise, CCM uses the full cap number in the grid for a submit using the Full data source. The Calculate Nth Cap? option appears when the $nth function is added to a grid.

User-friendly CalculationsThe Nth Definition form is more user-friendly for calculating caps and percentages. The new Calculate options are Universe Percentages, Test Cap, Live Cap and Increase Cap By.

Limited PercentagesThe Nth Percent is limited to three decimal places.

If Stop on Match is selected as the Row Processing option, a message informs you about the server output default.

If one or more output definitions are server outputs, TI will execute the Do All Rows option even if you specify Stop on Match.

One-to-Many Relationships

In one-to-many relationships, more records are returned in a count because rows are returned based on the key used to join tables. If the key is found on multiple tables, then the records from those tables are returned.

You must know what your one-to-many table is. The key to this table must be selected in the Resolve Options screen.

When the Primary Key is selected in the Submit Wizard, CCM builds the SQL to invoke the one-to-many relationship during Resolve Optionsscreen processing.

One-to-many relationships enable one record on a table to match to many records on a different table. We need to understand the interactions of multiple pieces of the same information in order to make a selection decision and/or market cell decisions.

The number of records on the Primary Table equal the number of records processed in CCM.

One-to-many relationships facilitate Times Series data processing.

Validating Items

ApplyThe Apply button does not validate the specific item that is open. Apply only saves the item and allows you to continue working within the item. This change in functionality is needed so item changes can be saved without accessing the Data Dictionary.

Validating ItemsCCM does not validate any campaign item that does not contain at least one element. Server output layouts with duplicate elements cannot be validated.

Archiving and Restoring Campaigns

ArchiveArchive is enabled when you select a campaign in the Campaign Outline. Archive stores the campaign for 30 days. It can be restored within CCM during this time.

After the 30-day storage period, the campaign is zipped. To access the zipped campaign, contact a Development Team member.

Archiving Campaigns

1. In the Campaign Outline, select a campaign.

2. In the File menu, choose Archive.

3. In the Campaign Archive window, the selected campaign and its archive name will be listed.

4. Click Archive. CCM will begin checking file usage and then delete the campaign from the Campaign Outline.

RestoreRestore is enabled when you select a subdirectory in the Campaign Outline. Restore only displays campaigns in the current account that have been stored for less than 30 days.

Once the campaign is restored, you must supply a new TI name in the Campaign Information subsection. The TI name can be the original TI name for that campaign or a new one.

Restoring Campaigns

1. In the Campaign Outline, select the subdirectory where the archived campaign previously resided.

2. In the File menu, choose Restore.

3. In the Campaign Restoration window, select the archive from the Select archive box. The campaign name will appear in the Campaign name box.

4. Click Restore. CCM will retrieve information and register the campaign. The restored campaign will be available in the Campaign Outline.

Resetting Previous Campaign Items

CCM saves up to five of the most recent versions of campaign items. Campaign items include tagging definitions, fulfillment definitions, where grids, etc. You cannot restore input and output definitions or SAS queries.

Resetting Previous Campaign Items

1. In the Campaign Explorer, select the campaign item you want to restore. Alternatively, you can open the campaign item and restore from within the item.

2. In the Edit menu, choose Reset Item to Previous Version.

Submit

Single-thread NotificationWhen jobs with the CCM step type have a Step Submit Status of Started in the Job Monitor, you will receive an e-mail alerting you that the job is running single-threaded on ORACLE.

Details will be shown in the Job Detail window for Thread Count.

− A 1 indicates single-threaded processing.

− If more than one thread is used, the number of threads is listed.

− Unavailable indicates the thread count is unavailable.

An e-mail message will be sent to all user IDs specified in the e-mail option of the Job Scheduler Details window when the job was scheduled.

Multiple Server Outputs in SubmitsThe Server Name / Account Name column has been added to Screen 6 of the Submit Wizard – allowing for multiple server outputs – and is populated from the output definition.

Generating ConstraintsYou can generate constraints (enable Data Integrity Rules) on particular server outputs in the same submit. For server outputs, you can check or uncheck the Enable data integrity check column in Step 6 of the Submit Wizard.

Super Submit

Super Submit enables a previous submit to run without performing a recompile if changes are made to grid criteria only. Super Submit is the default if the campaign is eligible.

If you clear the Enable Super Submit check box, a compile will take place upon clicking Submit.

The check box is disabled for ineligible super submits.

Super Submit bypasses the Resolve Options window.

Column deletion doesn't affect Super Submit eligibility unless the column contained a function.

Note: If the data source is changed from Nth to Full in Step 2 of the Submit Wizard, you have the option to recompile.

Eligibility Requirements The campaign has a successful previous compile.

The only modifications are of tagging or fulfillment grid criteria.

No columns have been added to a tagging or fulfillment grid.

No column elements have been replaced.

No modifications are made in the Submit Wizard, except for EstimatedCounts (unless the Use estimate as maximum number of prospectscheck box is selected.)

You copy the most recent submit in Step 1 of the Submit Wizard.

Creating a Super Submit

1. In the CCM outline, select a previously compiled campaign. Open a campaign subsection containing items.

2. Click Submit in the CCM toolbar.

3. Complete the Submit Wizard. CCM automatically detects whether it is eligible for Super Submit.

4. In the Final Step screen of the Submit Wizard, the Super Submit Eligible box will default to Yes to enable super submit. The Enable Super Submit check box is selected to enable the feature.

5. Click Submit. The submit is available immediately in the Job Monitor window if Job Scheduler defaults are set.

Resolve Options

Reassign ColumnThe Reassign column is no longer present in the Resolve Options window.

Submitting a SAS Job

1. In the File | Import menu, click SAS. The .sas file you select is imported into the Universe Analysis subsection.

2. In the Job Scheduler Details window, select SAS for the Step Type.

3. For the Step Description, all available .sas files in the campaign's Universe Analysis subsection are displayed.

4. Add the submit to the job stream and continue.

5. In the Submit Results subsection, the SAS-generated files are loaded as SAS Program Log and SAS Program Output.
