WELCOME TO THE 4TH EDITION OF THE MARATHON OF BORDEAUX METROPOLE

Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay will start together at 8:00pm Saturday 24th March 2018, Place de la Bourse in Bordeaux.

The race course around UNESCO world’s heritage site in the dark of night will bring you from the city center to the docks. At last you will race on the famous vineyards in Bordeaux and come back to the old city for finish !

The race is relatively flat, a few brief passages only in the vineyardsor gardens can vary your enjoyment !

We are especially glad to welcome you to Bordeaux for this sportly,friendly, cultural and family week-end !

In the end it all comes down to : Have FUN !!

- All the medical certificate copies (less than one year + running in competition) - Or the license affilitated to a Athletism / Triathlon Fédération - ID Card - Your bib number

Attention : No bib will be given without the totality of these documents.

Package Relay

During the registration, you will have :

- 1 bib by team with timing chip on it.

- 1 bib beltThe bib has to be fixed on the belt. It will serve as the relay baton.

- 4 relay wirstbandIt‘s mandatory to wear it by each member. It give access to the relay areas and the After-Finish area. Keep it!

- Tramway pass allowing you to go to your relay start and come back to the Finish Line.

Street wear - After Finish Each athlete (excepted the last one) should give his bag to the following runner before the race and he will take it back in the next relay area after his course section.

RELAY AREA ACCESS

RELAY 2 : How to go to the relay Château Luchey-Halde : Tramway A direction Haillan Rostand - Tramway Stop Fontaine Darlac, then follow the signs until the relay area.

RELAY 3 : How to go to the relay Pessac : Tramway B direction Pessac centre - Tramway Stop Pessac Centre, then follow the signs until the relay area. Don’t take the France Alouette direction !

RELAY 4 : How to go to the relay Pey-Berland : 10 minutes by walk fromthe start area.

START AREA (SAS)No specific start areas for the relay, excepted the start area for elite.Please go the start area depending of your team timing goal.

If you are doing the second relay, the city of Merignac offers you a free warm-up realized by a coach in the relay area of the Castle Luchey Halde from 8:15pm to 8:45pm. Be ready for your relay!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

- Bib in front of you and always visible!

- Relay 1 : Be carreful, half and marathon are sharing the same course until the KM 9.You have to follow the signs Marathon.

- Respect the environment and the nature of the course. You will cross private proprieties. Before each aid stations, you will find ecologic zones.

- Don‘t stay on the Finish Line and go directly to the After Finish Area.

Timing

The timing will be made with a system of electronic detection stuck behind the BIB. No number must be folded or cut.

Attention : pas chip = no classification

The final ranking is made with the official time, after the start gun, in agreement with the FFA‘s regulations Your real time and your ranking with the real time will be also available. This one corresponds at the moment when you cross the starting line.

INFO LIVE ! The Marathon of Bordeaux Métropole will propose the LiveTrail service to follow the runners of the half marathon at KM9.5 and the marathon at KM 9.5, 17, 23 and 32.

You have the possibility of putting an automatic comment on your wall FB in every passage on a control point or during the arrival.

Refresh stations are provided by tumblers.

You can bring your flask or bottles if you want to keep water or energy drink always with you.

AFTER FINISH AREA :

Marathon : you will be directed in an area where you will have hot drinks, soups, sweet and salty products as well as the possibility to have a massage.

Half Marathon : you will be directed to your streetwear bag. Volunteers will give you a bag with water, an Isostar bar, a fruit, a sandwich and a cake.
