How to form a possessive noun
My class >> (teacher’s name)’s class.
His pen >> (male student’s name)’s class.
Her book >> (female student’s name)’s book.
Pair work. Write sentences using
possessive forms :possessive adjectives
and nouns
Example:
This is her desk. >> possessive adjective
It is Nora’s desk. >> possessive noun
Note: contractions & possessive nouns
He is = he’s
She is = she’s
Clark’s = possessive noun
John’s = possessive nouns
He’s Clark’s teacher.
She’s john’s teacher.
