The BBMAs have unique access to a large group of Indigenous students in a wide range of skill pools. As part of Shell’s endowment contribution of $100,000 that was made in 2013, Shell has had the opportunity to select two students per year to receive the “BBMA Shell Canada Award”. Those students are encouraged to apply to Shell’s intern or graduate programs. The relationship with the Fund and Shell’s recruitment has created one of our largest sources of Indigenous student intake since 2010, This partnership aligns with the principles of Shell’s Commitment to Indigenous Peoples in Canada and demonstrates how we work together towards shared value. To read more, visit www.shell.ca with 32 interns and 12 grads hired, and a retention rate of 92%. This level of participation highlights Shell’s commitment to Indigenous recruitment and development of a strong talent pool, particularly from programs such as engineering, business and sciences.
