1.Warm data and distributed ethnography, with Dave
Snowden and Nora Bateson. Complexity breaks the
dichotomy between humanities and the sciences. This
session dives deep in the origins and consequences of
complexity science and system theory. Why are so many
neuroscientists also philosophers? And what does this
means for the way we relate and work together?
2.Complexity-conscious organisational development
- or building the bridge while walking on it, with Gro -
Co-Creating Sustainability. In this workshop we will
explore principles and methods supporting emergent
organisational development, e.g co-creation, action
learning and shared intention.
3.Designing Learning Spaces to Build capacity for
complexity, with Anna Forrest, Karolina Lundahl and
Edda Rosset from Kaospilot. Building individual and
group capacity for addressing complex challenges is one
of the ambitions of the 3-year Enterprising Leadership
Program at Kaospilot. The presenters will share how they
have designed a learning platform that fosters systemic
leadership.
4.Mindtraps: where we fall while making sense of
complexity, with Eman Betaineh and Marco Valente,
Cultivating Leadership. In a complex system we are
faced with a challenge to adequately make sense of it
and act more skillfully. In this interactive session Eman
and Marco will give an intro to a recent tool developed by
CL's founder, author and internationally renown coach
Jennifer Garvey Berger, called Mindtraps..
5.SenseMaker – an adventurous journey in Malmö
and an Inter IKEA group. This session introduces the
hows and whys of the software SenseMaker by
Cognitive Edge, through two case studies where the
method was applied. With Beth Smith, Cognitive Edge,
Alenka Rosenqvist, Co-worker Relations Manager in the
Inter IKEA group, Tom Roodro, Malmö City, and Joel
Veborg from the Forward Malmö network.
6.Designing for adaptability, with Sonja Blignaut.
In today’s world of work, resilience, learning and adaptability
are paramount. In this session we will explore what it looks
like to design for emergence. How can we design fluid
structures that are able to maintain function and flow in the
midst of adaptation? We will use insights from complexity
and the nature of flow systems.
7.Inviting creative destruction to make space for
renewal, with Fisher Qua. Using Liberating Structures we
will explore how to work more sensitively with complexity and
treat it as an asset and benefit that can be trusted rather
than something to be held off, flattened, or engineered away.
8.Team Power for a new era, with Greta Rask. To develop
relationships is one of our evolutionary assignments, and
there is no richer source to relational work than our work. In
complex systems, the quality of our interactions define our
collective potential. In this workshop we will explore how
teams can train and strengthen their collaborative muscles.
9.Body, tool and system, with Johanna Tysk. How can we
move from ego- to eco system awareness within an
organisation, to better equip ourselves to understand and
respond to complex challenges? How can we design and
innovate for relational, deep and sustainable systems change
with the help of embodied wisdom.
10.Design in response to complex challenges, with Pia
McAlenan, Förnyelselabbet, Jonas Olsson ArkDes and
Per-Anders Hillgren, Malmö University. What have we
learned from using design to learn and create responses to
complex problems? Förnyelselabbet share how they use
design and systems thinking to support their lab-
environments. Per Anders Hillgren reflects on the role of
design and research in future making. Jonas Olsson presents
how a national policy; Designed Living Environment can be a
driver in tomorrows responses to complex challenges.
