• A teacher selected position based on proven leadership.• Take daily attendance

• Ensure that students follow proper procedures

• Makes sure Stage Managers are performing their duties

• In charge if the teacher is not present for any reason

• At the end of the class period meets with stage managers and consolidates their reports

Stage Managers• All students will take on this leadership

role. Each table has a Stage Manager which will rotate weekly.• Remind table of procedures

• Keep table on task

• Collect handouts and fill out “What you missed” form for absent students

• Perform random peer assessments of rehearsal journals

• Meet with the Student Director @ the end of class and provide any data.

• Take notes for the table for each class.

We are going to be using a method called CHAMPS…

• This will give you specific expectations of proper behavior in all types of classroom situations.

• It takes the guess work out of the infamous question, “Well, what can I do?”

• With clear guidelines, misbehavior is much more obvious.

• If all goes according to plan, I’ll spend less time disciplining and more time teaching (and finally be able to get to the “fun” stuff).

• What do you have to do? First, pay close attention to the video I’m about to show you… It’ll explain the basics. Then, we’ll talk out some scenarios together.
